  1. Moug's UU RMT (Top 200)

Dusclops is significantly bulkier than Sableye, though it does lack reliable recovery. Sableye also doesn't take Heracross as well as Dusclops does and this team is rather Heracross weak otherwise. Both have their strengths and weaknesses IMO.
  2. Z-maura's UU Team

For Sableye I generally would say to invest in one defense rather than make it a mixed wall. Night Shade/Seismic Toss is probably more consistent damage over Foul Play as well. I'd probably also put Gyro Ball or Toxic over Hypnosis on Bronzong. Sleep inducing can be pretty useful, but...
  3. Moug's UU RMT (Top 200)

Looks like a pretty strong team setup. Does Rapid Spin on Hitmontop come into play much? He has no way to hit ghosts, so a spinblocker (pretty common : Mismagius/Dusclops/Chandelure/Sableye take your pick) makes that move pretty worthless.
  4. Team: Ban Sand Veil

I wouldn't get rid of Gligar, it can block pretty much any physical attacker who doesn't have Super Effective STAB. I would suggest Toxic or another attack (Stone Edge I guess?) over Swords Dance though. I don't see Toxic Spikes doing too well in UU, Roserade is used a lot. Might want to...
  5. RU Analyses Discussion Thread

Shouldn't Cross Chop be mentioned somewhere on Hariyama's analysis? For sets that don't want to run Close Combat (Bulk Up for instance) it just says to run Force Palm for the paralysis, but the difference in base power between Cross Chop and Force Palm is quite large. Cross Chop's accuracy is a...
  6. np: UU - Six Deadly Suspects

I've found a lot of Azumarill usage going on, probably because it's the biggest offensive threat now that Gallade,Staraptor, and Raikou are gone. Lots of teams seem to be running Slowbro now too, probably to counter Azumarill and to be a general wallish type Pokemon. With Raikou and Shaymin gone...

  8. The Egg Group Tournament [Round 3]

Ok, so Elevator Music won in a close match, but he had an illegal set(Froslass with Spikes) so I guess I get the win.

  11. Future Pokemon Suspects.

I think testing Ho-Oh as a suspect is not a bad idea. The fact is that SR is a large part of the metagme and severely limits Ho-Oh's usefulness, despite its great strengths. Also, bulky waters and Rhyperior can stop it fairly easily, it isn't uncounterable IMO. I'm not saying it's a definite OU...
  12. Late Night Laddering: LonelyNess vs. Dekzeh (UU)

Pretty good warstory, though not as epic as the one we had. Really shows off how good Staraptor is IMO.
  13. np: UU - A New Beginning

I reslly don't see how Golduck counters Abomasnow very well. If it switches into any of Abomasnow's STAB Grass attacks it's dead. It also doesn't resist Leech Seed at all so its a SubSeed target. Also this would be a case where you pretty much have to use Focus Blast. Relying on Golduck's...
  14. np: UU - A New Beginning

Gallade has a lot of aspects that make it broken. Even in LonelyNess's counter list, 2 of the 3 final counters are weak to its secondary STAB. Yes, Gallade is not awesomely fast, but it isn't slow either, and has great special defense. It can use SD, or can use Bulk Up to boost its defense at...
  15. np: UU - A New Beginning

Gastrodon got plenty of usage in the old UU and has good defenses and a solid movepool. Saying people are using it judt to counter Raikou is a large assumption. Anyway, I've found Raikou fairly easy to stop overall, mainly due to its movepool issues. It uses Tbolt, which does not hit awesomely...
  16. np: UU - A New Beginning

Considering the size of the tier, a ban list of 10 Pokemon really is not that much. I really don't see the issue with having that many suspects. You seem to be inherently biased against banning anything, which is kind of an issue. Also, there were a lot of reasons to ban Shaymin-S and that's...
