  1. Hackmons XY

Sorry, but I'm not sure where the original thread about this issue is. But....why the fuck isn't Hackmons on the ladder anymore?
  2. Partly, I try get on when I can but it's very hard with uni/work at the moment :(

  4. Togekiss (WIP) – come with input if you wish!

I've been running an offensive Togekiss with Sticky Web support with quite high success. Partners really well with Excadrill who often gives him a chance to Nasty Plot. Something like: Togekiss @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Serene Grace EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature - Air Slash -...
  5. Creative sets in the BH metagame. BAD GIMMICKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

Here are my current, two favourite sets at the moment :3 Darmanitan-Zen - Blue Flare - Spacial Rend/Substitute - Spore - Copycat Item: Leftovers Ability: Prankster 0 Atk EVs/IVs Nature: Modest A pretty simple, but very effective set to use. Spore pokemon without Magic Bounce/Coat and attack...
  6. ~Hedonistic Sands~ (Hackmons)

~Hedonistic Sands~ Helpful reading on Pure Hackmons: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3475624 Ever since I started playing Hackmons the lack of weather intrigued me, so I decided I’d try to make my own team centered around it. With the endless possibilities Hackmons provides...
  7. OM Team Study! [Week 1: Balanced Hackmons ft. Arcticblast]

Ahh yeah it doesn't surprise me you say Hackmons has been dropping in usage lately, I have started to notice that. I just wanted to vote Hackmons because I wouldn't mind submitting my own team :) But back on topic, I would be interested to see how this team would cope with a Prankster Heart...
  8. OM Team Study! [Week 1: Balanced Hackmons ft. Arcticblast]

Also, why can't we vote for Hackmons in the poll :(
  9. OM Team Study! [Week 1: Balanced Hackmons ft. Arcticblast]

Great team. Does seem like it was designed a while back when Imposter Blissey/Chansey was in vogue. I've never used it but it seems like the idea is to trap an opposing Deoxys-Speed lead with Magma Storm, and switch into Shaymin-Sky who can bounce back their Spore/hazards. Shaymin-Sky then sets...
  10. Gen V Balanced Hackmons

I have an identical set on my sand team. Except with Unburden and a Dragon Gem. Works wonders late game once it's counters are out of the way. Also have been testing this lately: Durant @ Metronome EVs: Max everything, Jolly Nature Ability: Serene Grace ~ Iron Head ~ Force Palm/Sacred Fire ~...
  11. Official Smogon University Simulator Statistics — April 2013

    Hackmons: 11 | Shedinja | 15.11736% Why do people still use this thing? 29 | Skarmory | 4.05624% 31 | Swampert | 3.85652% Good to see these two being used more! 26 | Magikarp | 4.40994% I love this.
  12. Other Metagames Usage Statistics - April 2013

Loving the increase in Skarmory and Swampert in Hackmons :) And Regirock sneaks in at 70th! Shedinja with ~15% usage, still can't believe people use that thing.
  13. Pure Hackmons (Gen V)

In response to Toraen, seeing as my game revolves around hazards/sand I find these less of a pain then others probably do. If you Whirlwind them after a Curse they're usually less than 40-50% and with sufficient hazards up they die upon the next switch in. I also find if you can Trick a Choice...
  14. Pure Hackmons (Gen V)

No way. It's only necessary to have one or two Wonder Guarders on a team. Although Wonder Guard is a good ability it's easily beatable. For example, one Prankster could take out all without Magic Coat. Or at least that's what I find....
  15. Balanced Hackmons Viability Rankings Thread

This. Skill Swap is a great move, I just about always use it first turn. Great for Magic Bounce leads as it can deflect their moves while allowing you to set up Rocks/Spikes etc. Also I find Regirock to be a great Rapid Spinner, no one expects it.
  16. Balanced Hackmons Viability Rankings Thread

I noticed Belly Drum + Extremespeed has been nominated, but what about Prankster Belly Drum? I'd like to nominate it for at least B rank as I've swept many teams with the following set: Golurk @ Lum Berry Trait: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd Nature...
  17. Pure Hackmons (Gen V)

Wonder Guard Palkia does sound quite interesting. What kind of moveset would he run? 4 attacking moves? I can see Magic Coat working well with it to stop Prankster Spores etc
  18. Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Prankster spore is a great tactic, you just have to prepare to be accused of having "no skill" by people who are unaware of Magic Coat/Bounce. On a slight change of subject, has anyone else noticed that when you use Skill Swap your 'new' ability doesn't show up when you hover over your pokemon...
  19. Pure Hackmons (Gen V)

Weather. The answer to hackmons is weather and hazards. In my whole team I run only 4 attacking/damaging moves and it seems to have worked quite well so far...
  20. Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Oh I agree that it is easy to deal with, simply by making sure you can counter each pokemon in your own team. I just find it to be an annoying pokemon as so many people just shove one in their team without any thought as to how it actually fits on the team...
