This has already been answered for me--kinda late to the party lol

Other Poll: Steel - Nerfed or Buffed?

Steels were nerfed with the loss of the Ghost- and Dark-type resistances, though that hardly means that it sends a death knell to the typing. It helps that the most powerful Ghost- and Dark-type STABs commonly used in OU are only 80 BP (Phantom Force is 90, but it has poor distribution, and...

    Other Most Improved Pokemon

While it's true Hydreigon got hit pretty hard with a new 4x weakness, being a bulky Dragon that resists Ghost- and Dark-type attacks will give it a decent niche this gen. I believe it also gets Defog and Dragon Tail/Roar, so maybe a more supportive set could rise in usage?

Link to where you found this info? I'd like to confirm for myself.

    Other Subtle but important nerfs

Ghost-type Pokemon aren't affected by Shadow Tag only; Magnet Pull will still keep Aegislash from switching. Not that Magnezone will ever want to switch into Aegislash with it possessing Sacred Sword.

    Other Shiny new toys

The reason Nidoking and Nidoqueen run special movesets is because of superior coverage in addition to powerful moves. Also, you'll want to replace Fire Punch with Sucker Punch if you're going with a physical set. Good luck ever getting past Skarmory, though. It's been confirmed on Serebii.

Nidoking and Nidoqueen also got stat boosts...in the wrong attack stat :'( 'King is now sitting pretty at 102 Atk, while 'Queen is 92. Oh, well, Sheer Force Sludge Wave will still hit like a truck, especially with the new Fairy type.

    Pokémon Clawitzer

Serebii has the Egg groups posted up. Clawitzer is in Water 1 and Water 3, meaning it's alongside Clampearl/Huntail/Gorebyss, Omanyte/Omastar, Tirtuoga/Carracosta, and Shellder/Cloyster. There's a good chance it can learn Shell Smash, but until someone proves it, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

    Pokémon Ampharos

I apologize in advance for any wrong assumptions I make in this post, but doesn't Mega Evolution only trigger once it's in the battlefield? In order for this thing to pivot, it has to switch into a potentially devastating move for it. It's not a Dragon-type until it Mega Evolves, so wouldn't...

    Garchomp/Altaria dicussion (ChainChomp)

I know not many people visit this forum anymore, but I thought I'd post my own version of the ChainChomp deck, which I love to play with on PTCGO: 4 Gible (Sand Attack) 3 Gabite (Dragon Call) 4 Garchomp (Dragonblade) 4 Swablu (Sing) 3 Altaria (Fight Song) 2 Emolga (CFF) 20 4 Level Ball 4 Skyla...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

I think they're all fine where they are. None of these Pokemon stand out at all to be tier shifted. All have terrible movepools, terrible stats, terrible typing, or some unfortunate combination thereof. The only one I could reasonably see myself using (and have used in the past) is Weedle...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

I disagree. Its defenses are horrible, and its attacking stats are even worse. Base 50 Special and Base 70 Attack isn't hurting much. Its speed, combined with its typing givinig it no useful resistances, put the final nail in the coffin for it. It could be useful for catching Abra, but it'll...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

Sorry, I meant to say that Grass STAB is worthless during the mid and late game. Still, Mega Drain can finish off the very few foes that don't fall to a single Psychic. Anyway, I'm currently playing through Red with a team of Blastoise, Raticate, Nidoking, Jolteon, and Exeggutor, with a...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

Is low speed for Exeggcute really that big of a deal with 95/85/125 Defenses? That's pretty damn solid for a Low tier Pokemon--especially one as easy to catch as Exeggcute. The only place I see it being a problem is with Agatha, but then again, Gengar outspeeds most of your potential Pokemon...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

Alright, alright, no need to be snarky. I already knew it was a silly question, I was just wondering if it was possible. Anyway, as for the Rattata analysis, I think that there should be a mention somewhere of Super Fang. You're most likely going to have Pokemon that have supereffective...

Pokemon RBY In-Game Tiers - Mark III

Slowpoke: As I stated previously, it should be mentioned that Slowpoke can be caught just after you receive the Super Rod by fishing it out of Celadon City's pond. You can only catch it at 15, however, meaning that it'll be slightly underleveled compared to your team. It's also pretty pathetic...

    Munchlax

I think Munchlax will be hard pressed to find a niche as a specially defensive Normal type alongside Lickilicky, who has Lefties, semi-reliable recovery, and Heal Bell in addition to being able to phaze. It does take special attacks better than Licky, though, thanks to Thick Fat and Evio...
