One that recently came to mind (however I'm not sure if you'd call it a 'core') is Talonflame + Mamoswine. It seems like Talonflame's main counters will be Garchomp, Landorus-T, Heatran and other bulky ground/steel types and Mamoswine can OHKO a lot of these with 4x super effective STABs.

Yeah that looks pretty cool. I'll try something like that. I was considering Trevenant (how do you spell it?) as the spinblocker. It also makes a nice F/W/G core.

The problem with those options (or at least what it seems like) is that the team would have no sort of bulk.

I was thinking something like this except Talonflame/CharX in place of Noivern. The problem I'm finding it finding 3 more pokemon that go along well with it. It definitely needs a spinner, probably a spinblocker, and a special wallbreaker but I can't find Pokes that fill those rolls and still...
