  1. Alakazam

If you really want to take out Tar/Sciz/etc use Counter with a Focus Sash. With Magic Guard, you don't have to worry about SS or entry hazards hindering your guaranteed take-all hit, which of course you can rebound for the kill. At to that^^ statistically it's getting a 30% boost, not exactly...
  2. Zombie Apocalypse! (Now with Bad Posters!)

#384... Rayquaza can handle zombies methinks.
  3. Dragons!!!! But What Are Their Names?!?!? (Ended. Lock Please.)

I'd nickname that Kyurem Gliscor. Why? Because if I were using that baby in competitive play, I'd pass a Substitute to it. My opponent would think it was a Gliscor and use Ice and Water moves against it for at least one turn before they realized it wasn't a Gliscor, and by then it would be too...
  4. Creative (and good) Movesets (READ THE OP FIRST)

I'm currently using a very effective 2 dragon/2 steel combo (Bulky Charge Beam Magnezone, Sp. Def Thunder Rachi, DD Haxorus, and the set below) Latios @ White Herb Timid 6 Def/252 Sp. Att/252 Speed ~Calm Mind ~Draco Meteor ~Surf ~Recover I thought of this yesterday and I've been most...
  5. Mirror Type

I got into the top 10 on Smogon leaderboard using a rain team with Reflect Type Latias. It really is awesome, but you've gotta know its limits (there's no way you're gonna beat Sp Def Jirachi) and you really need to watch out for Tyranitars with Superpower, as it always KOs. Setting up on...
  6. Trapping Discussion

I disagree with you on Wob. I'm using Timid Wob on my Sun team and I'm top 15. That thing takes out weather better than anything else. I use Wob multiple times a game. Also, I created a DW trap team that was bad ass, using CB Tar, Timid Wob, Specs Gothitelle, Scarf Zone, Hone Claws Dugtrio...
  7. Dream World Tier Discussion

I haven't played DW in a few weeks, is it true about Thunderachi everywhere? I liked being the only one knowing of its greatness >_>. also, didn'tknow you played DW jr7, but I'm glad that someone of your stature has respect for it; light knows the other "higher ups" don't.
  8. Explosion

I've made a 6 Pokemon Explosion team that has had pretty decent success. Explosion isn't as bad as the nerf makes it seem. I like Shell Smash Cloyster and Choice Scarf Landorus with Explosion. Once Genesect get's released, that'll be another good one. A great way to get that extra power for...
  9. Rain Wrecking Ball (Smogon Top 10)

Sludge Wave gets great neutrality despite the steel resistance and KOs nearly any Grass type that could ever threaten a rain dance team. Also, Scrafty must be Jolly 252 Spe to be able to outpace Thundurus and it's brother, which is pretty important because it can wreck a rain team pretty easily.
  10. The Frozen Dragon (DW Hail)

I haven't been laddering much in DW recently, but I toyed around with a hail team last week with Choice Scarf Kyurm on it. Gotta say that thing is beastly. I've got a spinner so I don't have to worry about SR and it sure does put pressure on the opponent. Even NVE Blizzards damage badly.
  11. Rain Wrecking Ball (Smogon Top 10)

.................................................. Since Black and White's inception, I have nearly exclusively played only Drea World OU on Smogon University's Pokemon Online Server. For the past couple months, I've been all over Dream World's top 5 and often ranked #1. However, I've heard from...
  12. The Smogon Frontier [Won by Bloo]

    • Pokemon Online Username: is you rollin? • Age: 19 • Gender: Male • Location: Florida • Time Zone: Eastern • Favorite Pokemon: Dragonite
  13. Dream World Tier Discussion

Since you've updated the original post, one thing to note about the pinch berries is Sturdy abuse with Custap Berries. Slower enemies, generally Spikers do this in the lead position to get off an extra layer before dying or Explode in your face.
  14. Introducing Palace Players (Defensive Balaced)

I think Jirachi would appreciate Fire Punch so that it can outspeed and one shot Genesect.
  15. Dream World Tier Discussion

I play DW as much as anybody and cannot answer those questions. I don't see very much of either of them to be honest. At the top of the ladder, the circle of matches you get is very limited. I completely agree with you, though. DW gets very little attention and it is the second largest tier...
  16. Dream World Tier Discussion

Great thread lostaurora! How to win in Dream World: make sure your Genesect outlives your opponent's. 1. First off, for some reason, Dream World is incredibly stable. Next so after Ubers, but without the dryness. The way I see it, DW is the future of OU. 2. Soul Dew isn't broken. It makes...
  17. Dual Weather Teams

I've been using a dual weather team for the past few weeks with Rain and Sand. I'm more of a Dream Worlder than plain OU, but I got to #1 on the leaderboard without losing a single match, and then got 100 points higher that the next person behind me. The premise was that I could use Tar as my...
  18. Scrafty

I've been going on the OU ladder with Scrafty and no other Pokemon. I'm using Jolly Life Orb Dragon Dance with Moxie. Surprisingly, I've won 5 games out of about 20. 4 were forfeits, but I've got a log of a 6-0 sweep from the guy that didn't forfeit.
  19. Storm Troopers (Peak #1 at 1580, #2, and #3)

On another team it would be good, but as it is, Thunder is preferable and Jirachi can beat Magnezone with Thunder, believe it or not.
