    Pokémon Gallade

I don't think he'll make it to suspect. Aegislash and Mawile were both strong and tanky. Greninja can barely survive regular hits, and is wrecked by any form of priority.

Project Team Building Shop Redux [CLOSED FOR REQUESTS, BUILDING]

Gave you quite a bit to work with. The goal is to take out all of Metagross' checks and counters, then clean house with him. He also wrecks faries, so DD Dragonite works well as a secondary sweeper. Greninja snipes miscellaneous threats, and Rotom is there to deal with the likes of Talonflame...

ORAS General Discussion - Mark 2 - Spoilers Inside

Quick question, do we have locations for the mega stones yet? I hope to god we have more than six pre-E4 like in X and Y

    Pokémon Metagross

What are you guys running with Metagross in your cores? I hear Hydregion is a popular choice, but I'd like to know a few more options.

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but Heracross' link takes you to the Gyarados entry.

np: XY OU Suspect Testing Round 5 - Ghost of Perdition

Mawile is most definitely a top threat in the tier, but after running one I can say that it's not on the same level as Aegislash. Mawile is pretty predictable overall, it runs Sucker Punch, Play Rough, another coverage move, and Swords Dance/Substitute. It's highly susceptible to status and its...

    Other Stall

So I'm fairly new to stall, and I'm trying to figure out how to start. What are some of the staple stallers I need to be looking at? What are some good stall cores that you guys like? How should I go about putting a stall team together?

    Pokémon Greninja

I was wondering, what do you guys run with Greninja for coverage or support? I'm using a Greninja/Mawile/Garchomp offensive core right now with good results. Mawile can't handle ground, fire, or physical walls, which Greninja eats alive. Garchomp cleans up miscellaneous threats. I really want...

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

Rotom-W is looking very appealing. I really want something that can reliably inflict burns. Scald Vaporeon is just too unreliable for me.
  10. NocturnalQuill

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

My main idea was to try to avoid being locked into one strategy. I wanted something adaptable to a variety of situations. The big problem with things like hyper offense and baton pass teams is that they rely on too much going right. If something goes wrong, you're screwed. That's why I love...

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

Yeah, I'm probably going with the former, I don't have a lot of experience with Chansey. Anything else I should change?
  12. NocturnalQuill

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

The only fire type that particularly concerns me is Charizard. Greninja will annhiolate anything other than Heatran, who Garchomp eats alive. Counter on Skarmory is very interesting. I didn't even know he got it.
  13. NocturnalQuill

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

Perhaps I should replace Vaporeon with something that can handle Bisharp. I forgot all about him. Prankster Sableye worked very well for me in the past, maybe I should use it again.
  14. NocturnalQuill

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

I've taken your advice and started to breed for a fire fang Mawile. Ferrothorn and Scizor don't stand a chance now. Vaporeon is starting to feel like a weak link. I'm probably going to drop her completely. What should take her place?
  15. NocturnalQuill

    Greninja-Mega Mawile team

Edit: Vapreon was stupid, I'm replacing her with a Sableye lead. Sableye @ Leftovers Ability: Prankster Nature: Impish EVs: 252 HP/252 Defense/4 Sp. Defense - Will-o-Wisp - Recover - Taunt - Foul Play "Shadow pokemon" is something of a misnomer when it comes to Sableye, "asshole pokemon" is...

    Other Rain In OU

I'm preemptively figuring out how to build a team around Mega Swampert. Has anyone thought of cores that could utilize him? For the sake of speculation, we'll assume that most of the BST increase will go into attack.
  17. NocturnalQuill

    Other Rain In OU

True, but I'm having a hard time seeing what could top him as far as rain sweepers are concerned.
  18. NocturnalQuill

    Other Rain In OU

It may not technically be out yet, but it isn't a stretch to say that Mega Swampert will be THE rain mega. I don't get why we can't speculate, the only details we don't have are the exact stat numbers. We have a pretty good feel for him overall.
  19. NocturnalQuill

Sticky Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

I think Swift Swim is going to allow him to be less of a tank and more of a bulky sweeper, similar to Tyranitar. It'll be interesting to see where the 100 BST goes.

Sticky Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Love or hate Mega Swampert, he's going to be a godly tank. He's been consistently one of the best starters throughout the generations, even after his fall to UU. Now he gets a 100 BST increase AND Swift Swim? Good god.
