Disagree, scarf lets him outspeed and OHKO a lot of threats Yeah it can win you a match, but on the whole it will lose you more than you will win, and when climbing the ladder, the long term is what you want to focus on

    Pokémon Aegislash

I really think Weakness Policy is the best choice for the mixed set Agreed, what's a reliable counter or check for it? Can't send out a wall for it since it has very high attacking stats on both sides, the things that can WoW it are usually ripe to get set up on by SD, there's Taunt I guess...

    Pokémon Medicham

To be fair, any sweeper can win you the game if you pass them lots of boosts. That's not specific to Megacham I agree with this. It can run Bullet Punch, but it has to sacrifice something to do so and even then BP won't OHKO usually. Also Aegislash. I think, at least for OU (doubtful it will...

We aren't discussing this to discuss how awesome he is, but to discuss his possible checks/counters

    Pokémon Absol

That was my problem when I used it. Send it out against a Smeargle lead? Turn 2 forfeit. Any other situation? You might get a kill with it, but you really do get OHKOd by pretty much anything. Not nearly enough reward for the amount of risk imo. Even when I got a SD up (which is hard in itself...

    Pokémon Galvantula

Galvantula can be used in OU because of Sticky Web but only because he's got some ok attacking stats for cleanup, too. I've run a scarfed set with HP Ice before and it's useful for outspeeding/OHKOing Greninja, Gyarados with a DD up, Scarf Chomp, Gliscor, Starmie, Hydreigon (just a 2HKO I think)...

    Pokémon Malamar

Maybe. Who specifically did you have in mind? Does not having Switcheroo matter for them? Also Malamar might end up dropping to UU regardless

You keep it for late game after its checks are gone

    Pokémon Starmie

Something worth noting: Starmie survives Brave Bird from Talonflame if it's not Banded or +2. Greninja is OHKOd no matter what (though I sometimes see it sashed). That's probably the biggest advantage Starmie has. No Tbolt for Greninja is a slight advantage, as well, I think. But yeah I don't...

    Pokémon Aggron

Haven't seen this thing work once in OU. Not having a recover move kills it. It might kill one thing before it goes down, but you don't really want to use your mega slot on that. Somebody mentioned a Resttalk dtail set that I think might be his best bet, since it's usually a 3HKO to kill him...

    Pokémon Aurorus

Unfortunately I think somebody at the office had a personal vendetta against this thing when it was made (why?), and was determined to not give it anything good. It has a usable spatk stat (99) and a really cool ability, but no special moves to be seen (why?) I think the best option for this...

    Pokémon Togekiss

Yes, Sticky Web is very scary paired with the new Togekiss. If you get the web + a Nasty Plot up, it's almost a guaranteed win. You don't need Roost because of the speed drop, too, so you're free to choose 3 attack moves. I think Air Slash/Flamethrower/Dazzling Gleam is the most solid setup...

    Pokémon Malamar

I can vouch for a Scarf set. It's a good cleanup crew. You get locked into Superpower (usually), but if you're cleaning up, that's rarely a problem, especially with the stat boosts. Give it its 3 standard attacks along with Switcheroo and it's a solid set
