  1. Playing Style and overcoming the Learning Curve to become "the best"

i'm a tad skeptical about the whole instincts aspect. From experience i really dont need to use my gut feeling in battle, as calculating your opponent's strategy is vital, though overcalculation can sometimes be your downfall. Take this theoretical take on trick room teams, for example. After...
  2. Gastrodon: not just a poor man's Swampert! *Warstory*

Awsometude. I liked the whole defensive battle thing you folks got on, but it was bad on your enemy's side not to include a grass knotter. Still, he coul'de won if Starmie bombarded Gastrodon with hydro pump
  3. Rest + Sleep Talk

milotic's the most reliable, the serpent gets a defense boost with marvel scale.
  4. Raindancers

This team has had a lot of losses in Shoddy, so i nedd people to rate it. Zapdos Bold Leftovers HP-252 DEF-218 SPEED-40 Thunderwave Thunder Roar Roost My starter, most people never expect it to carry roar, not sure about thundrwave. Swampert Adamant Leftovers/Life Orb HP-252 ATT-176...
  5. A random mucked up team that probably wont work

Espeon is completely different from azelf and alakazam. For one thing, they can't save their necks by baton passing their calm minds to bronzong and having the bell Smash everything with trick room+ Psychic/Grass Knot(pwnz0red so much with this combo). The entire team has a trick room feel to...
  6. Team thunda

With proper prediction Donphan can roar back gyarados, And you could always give salamense lightning fang(need to check on this one) if not, hidden power. Most of your team has big issues with special attackers but luckily Blissey's there to block. With proper prediction, you could poison common...
  7. Random Dice Roll Team

Magmortar should have a modest nature, being weak to a type with so much special attacks makes it important that no cuts to S.defense exist. Tangrowth has a relatively mediocre moveset, and it should have leech seed. He should be adamant to maximize power whip's might. Nidoking is a CHOICE...
  8. Breaking the game

My second RMT, this one is my Trick room team. Dusknoir Careful Leftovers 252 HP, 200 SPD, 52 Defense Trick Room Shadow Punch Ice Punch Will-O Wisp Great tank, sets up trick room quite nicely. Does not die quickly when pursuited. Milotic Bold Leftovers 240 HP, 200 Defense, 68 SpA Rest...
  9. I don't need dragons!

Great team, but now i'll dismantle it. First thing's first, infernape has a good time, so long as gengar has fallen. Hippowdon can cut through your team, especially after it fire fangs and earthquakes away your tanks( except for blissey) then there's machamp, but a brave bird from skarmory can...
  10. My .5 K Post. Rate my Stall Team

Cool stall team, but A magmortar with at least one nasty plot passed to it does a clean sweep of everyone except hippowdon. Also, Yanmega is a huge threat and even gyarados is hurt when he switches in to ancientpower.(Yanmega roxxors!)
  11. First Competitive Team On This Site

List of Pokemon that Pwns this team Heatran (resists most of your pokemon's moves, lava plume) Gengar(No special walls to block gengar's strikes, Milotic probably) Magnezone (Same reasons as heatran) Magmortar (Pray the sun is not up, pray, if it's not milotic is dented by a thunderbolt...
  12. Potentially the best team ever...

Your team's pretty nice, but i see a lot of weaknesses. For one thing, Deoxys and Starmie are going to hate shadow sneak, or a protect/buzz combo from yanmega(a bit biased with the yanmega thing, but still plausible.) Trick Room teams have a great time with you, especially when foretress starts...
  13. Help with my team needed...

The only thing i see that could break you with relative ease is Yanmega. Sure, this may seem situational, but all yanmega needs is to protect that thunderbolt and it'll start sweeping through your team. Sure Gyarados can stop him, but it could be a pleasant suprise if he throws a HP Lightning on...
  14. Stantler Surprise...

Interesting... But how will stantler fare against something with mach punch? Combo Idea: Stantler + Dusknoir
  15. Another RMT.

I like your team, specifically Cresselia and Porygon-2, But I must say Gyarados and Salamence mocks Charizard and your other sweepers, and 2 probably won't survive after taking a hit from these. Magic coat for Porygon is pretty situational, but since he's a starter it's not that bad. Also...
  16. No Pressure...

  17. Clamperl. The forgotten bivalve from hell.

Gorebyss does not gain the boost from deepsea fang/scale. Anyway, seems interesting, i think i'll try him out in my trick room team.
  18. The Nicknames Thread.

Mamoswine-Mobius Tyranitar-Caius Gliscor-Granmarg Electivire-Zaborg Magmortar-Testalos Skarmory-Raiza Azelf-Kuraz Porygon Z-Mr. Zappers Empoleon-Monarch Starmie-Aldebaran The first names are from yugioh, the last 3 are random (except Monarch, you know Empoleon had it coming)
  19. Anyone want to help me make a team?

You could always pack a normal pokemon like snorlax to kill gengar, after all he can learn crunch.
  20. Defensive Walling Combinations

The only problem with grass types here is grass knot, and both take neutral damage from it. Fire is also not a problem, since both of them can take out Infernape and Heatran.(Empoleon blocks heatran, Infernape is stopped by Gliscor)
