    Pokémon Medicham

Looks like Fire Punch is better than I thought. Still, if you run Fire Punch + Fake Out, you get walled by Gliscor. If you run Fake Out + Ice Punch, you get walled by Aegislash. Finally, if you run Fire Punch + Ice Punch, you lose your ability to revenge kill weakened Pokemon like Talonflame...

    Pokémon Medicham

I could have sworn I saw a calc where Fire Punch was a 3HKO, unless somebody used normal Medicham by mistake. Guess I'm mistaken.

    Pokémon Medicham

The problem with Aegislash is that MegaCham can't 2HKO it with Fire Punch, while Aegislash owns it with Shadow Ball. I'd rather deal with Aegislash using something else on the team.

Smogon Usage-Based Tier Update: June 2014

Iron Tail Lucario has been becoming more common lately, so I'm pretty sure that people won't be switching in their Florges too often.

Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

Iron Tail is actually viable on Lucario nowadays. In fact, it's listed over Ice Punch in its Gen VI Swords Dance set. Shadow Claw and Brick Break are standard moves on Swords Dance Ghost Arceus as well.

Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

I've gotten back into Showdown, and in my third UU battle, I see a Defensive Pyroar with Will-O-Wisp... Another battle, and a guy keeps trying to set up on my Unaware Quagsire, followed by another guy who does the same thing. Choice Specs Yanmega with Hyper Beam. Did a hell of a lot of damage...

I'd say Landorus-T would make a good partner, as it can set up Stealth Rock, Intimidate Talonflame so that it isn't much of a problem, and bring in either of these two with U-turn.

    Pokémon Houndoom

I can understand why most Conkeldurr run Max Special Defense instead of HP, which is to gain back more HP from Drain Punch, but you're really cutting back on Conk's good mixed bulk by not investing in HP. Though, glad to know that Houndoom at least stands a chance against Conkeldurr. If not...

    Pokémon Houndoom

Yeah. Sunny Day on Mega Houndoom doesn't make Azumarill the most reliable check. However, Conkeldurr just full on massacres Mega Houndoom, so it definitely needs support from the likes of Azumarill to maul Conkeldurr. (Preferably the BellyJet set, as it doesn't mind losing its item too much)

    Pokémon Houndoom

Can I just say that Mega Houndoom really isn't as much of a Glass Cannon as you make him sound? Sure, it's no Mega Gyarados as far as a bulky offensive Pokemon goes, but 75/90/90 Defenses aren't much to scoff at either. It can survive priority moves from the likes of Azumarill and Conkeldurr...

Okay, reading that, It looks like this would work to drastic effect. Heck, the idea to give Scizor Light Metal to take Low Kicks better is pretty cool. However, why are you running a Lax Nature on your Quagsire? Unless you typed that wrong or something.

I don't consider Gengar much of an issue, as it cries at the sight of Assault Vest Conkeldurr, unless it's the SubDisable variant.

Hmm... Gliscor and Empoleon have some good synergy together, but it's better if you run them defensively. Here's some good sets to try. Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Ability: Poison Heal EVs: 244 HP / 40 Def / 224 Spd Impish Nature - Toxic - Substitute - Protect - Earthquake Empoleon @ Leftovers...

    Other Good Cores

Hmm... Speaking of Mega Gyarados, I think Gyarados and Talonflame make a pretty deadly offensive core, mainly for Talonflame's ability to murder priority users like Conkeldurr and Mega Pinsir. Thanks to Intimidate, Gyarados can dispose of opposing Talonflame as well as bring down most Rock-types...

    Other Good Cores

You know, I was actually considering something like this for awhile. Only difference is that I use a Defensive Heatran and Celebi as opposed to offensive ones. Heatran in particular, as it can set up Stealth Rock to give Gyarados an easier time at mowing through a team.

    Pokémon Absol

Knock Off is an amazingly overpowered move this gen, but Absol just can't work with it. Its best coverage move, Play Rough, is incompatible with Knock Off. Let's just hope the next game brings us a Move Tutor with Knock Off...

Actually, ScarfChomp takes away the whole point of VoltTurn, so this more or less is just an UU core. Still, it's a splendid idea.
