I guess it depends on the mega evolution. There are probably some mega evolution that don't make it a better pokemon at all. I think case in point in Tyranitar. Mega evolution might have better overall stats, but with the introduction of assault vest in this new generation means a lot more...

I totally agree. A Grass/Fighting pokemon who is made for a walling moveset just can't cut it. If that typing were just something a little different, then maybe he could have a shot.

Gardevoir. Psychic typing to handle that new poison weakness, and focus blast to deal with them steelums. And she even gets a mega, guys. She also has a huge movepool. The champion even uses her as her strongest pokemon. I think Gardevoir was MEANT to be queen of the fairies this generation.
