Metagame NP ZU Stage 7: Como La Flor - Frosmoth, Malamar, and Vulpix banned #18

So yeah drops. Part of me wants :Rampardos: to be good or at least niche in the same way Crabominable is though the unfortunate manner is that for the most part Lycanroc-Midnight outclasses it. That being said that power is still undeniable and maybe some TR build might make use of it...

Project NU TeamBuilding Lab (Open for Business in 2024)

I wonder if someone here could build a Sticky Web team (doesn't matter whether the webber is Galv or Smeargle tbh either's fine) with Porygon-Z. I'm not sure if Specs is considered a viable set for it in the current meta, but if it is I'd prefer that.

    | 43 | Altaria | 5.241% | | 44 | Coalossal | 5.194% | | 45 | Drifblim | 5.005% | | 46 | Heracross | 4.731% | These 4 being directly next to each other in usage is funny.

First impressions: :Primeape: :Venomoth: :Farigiraf: have the potential to be really stupid set-up mons. Latter two benefit from the fact our Steels are either uber passive or have bad SpD. Primeape looks to be the most manageable of these, and IMO if it does stay I imagine it'll be a key part...

Only thing I really want to ask is why Zapdos is struggling ATM. (While still having a niche ofc) Zapdos struggling in a meta where Rain is REALLY good does give me flashbacks to BW OU of all things so there's that.

:Veluza: :Samurott: :Avalugg-Hisui: :Pyroar: :Rotom-Fan: :Tauros-Paldea-Combat: https://pokepast.es/2fd0a1502a68e0d1 Trying to come up with a Waterspam team that isn't a rain variant is tricky, though immediately what came to mind was pairing Veluza with a Pokemon that can lure in many of its...

Resource SV UU DLC 2 Viability Rankings- Update at Post #64

Am wondering about the placements of Araquanid, Cinccino (why its considered much better than Maushold), Swampert, and the two Thundurus (IE why is Incarnate better than Therian ATM when it was the opposite just a few months ago). Gengar on that note too, it was a C-rank mon in the DLC1 meta.

Looked at the recent VR, and I'm wondering why Kyurem-Black is considered much better than Kyurem-White. (Black is in mid B and White's in D tier) What's with the big discrepancy here?

It seems like Tyranitar is a lot better now than it was a few months ago (its in High tier viability when it was chilling in mid-C a few months ago). I was wondering why that is. Does seem like a good check to stuff like Ceruludge or Latios, but is there more to it than that? Also curious about...

On a side note, even though the drops will likely effect this, I wonder why Galarian Slowpoke is ranked higher than its Kantonian counterpart on the VR. Is the Electric and Grass weakness that crippling?

    Pokémon Registeel

I will have to say the loss of Toxic and Seismic Toss hurts Registeel a lot, but at the same time, Body Press off a pretty good Defense stat can be good enough I suppose. I do expect an RU range presence for this guy like for the past 2 gens, but it'll likely still have a solid niche there due...

    Pokémon Electivire

I was thinking maybe you could also get away with Bulk Up + Trailblaze to do a "Double Dance" set of sorts. Some mons can pull this off in lower tiers, like the Tauros forms, though I'm not sure if E-Vire has enough bulk to ideally set up. Ofc in general, E-Vire is probably going to drop to the...

Metagame np: Stage 5: Butterfly (Vivillon Suspect Test)

IMO I think the best ability on Rhydon is Lightningrod cause you can keep your Volt immunity even when you Tera, which is quite huge. As for specific Tera types, dunno any in particular that would particularly stand out other than generic defensive Teras. (Steel, Water, Fairy etc.) Though given...

    Pokémon Meganium

As someone whose more of a lower tier player, I think this thing might not even be THAT bad down there even. A lot of the NFEs that outclassed it in prior gens no longer exist, its main competition being Bellossom I guess, who has more threat power with Strength Sap and QD, but Meganium has...

Only real question I have is why :maushold: has been doing decently enough to be in the B ranks. Tidy Up being removal that bypasses Gholdengo is really nice for it, but I'm curious too if there's more to it than that given we have many resists for Population Bomb.
