I meant there was no real reason for them to have level scaling. They should maybe offer less gimmicky sets or whatever, but straight up higher level Pokemon just makes it arbitrarily difficult and lowers stratergy, since you are limited in which people you can feasibly use Pokemon from. :/

I don't really like how the levels go up to be honest, there's no real reason to do it and it makes getting a good team super annoying.

Yea, the odds are worse than a pre gen six shiny if you want the exact 15 and 0. I ended up wasting an entire day of my life to RNG abuse it instead, I probabaly still saved time in the long run >.< Can't wait to try him out though, I hope he has some sort of potential in the tree.

Well, 0ivs is fine, but it's the 14/15 ivs that really blows, that's like one in 1800, and each reset takes a tad longer than a shiny hunt due to having to wait out the animation to use the speed checker mon. I've reset two 5ivs in oras, and it was one of the most monotonous things I have ever...

Just an FYI, you can knock them out and come back to them later to catch them. Also, good luck to you with the IVs, it's the same odds as 5iv was in gen 6 :/

Oh, I knew it was rare, it just seemed like the dugtrio ban changed the meta so much that a huge drop would be warranted, but it seems like that's not the case, so thanks for the info :)

Based on what you say, does tangrowth even deserve to still be A-? It would seem as though the new influx of wall breakers would put it in B+ with mantine, since the meta seems to have shifted away from it so heavily. Granted, I'm not experienced enough to make a definitive statement, but it...

    The Hardest Pokémon to Catch?

IMO, the Time/Darkness/Sky Kecleon are the most difficult, due to not using substitute (or even having it, for that matter), and having 255 stats across the board. You're essentially forced to use evasion orbs and violent seeds to even stand a chance. Sure, the recruit rate is higher, but you...

    SM UU Simple Questions Thread

Oh, okay, maybe trapinch could have a use on trick room teams? Not much is going to underspeed base 10, and he has the same attack stat as dugtrio. Either way, thanks a for the answers, the concept of arena trap is very interesting to me. :)

    SM UU Simple Questions Thread

Is there any use for trapinch, or (heaven forbid) Diglett in the tier? I understand it is probabaly worse than sub optimal, but I am curious as to whether trapping can have any purpose.

Bump. Also changed shadow ball to dark pulse to do damage to mega khan.

Battle Spot (Singles) Mega sableye stall team

I designed this team with the idea in mind of having defensive counters to every top-tier threat, and ended up having to add a few members at semi-random. The team is focused around mega sableye, as he is a reliable answer to the omnipresent kanga, aegislash and gengar, also crippling non lum...

Yea, but I like people to see the history of the team. (And editing is a PAIN on an iPad) haxiom edit: please just use edit or at least use hide tags.

    Other Monotype Normal team

Noctowl does have some pretty good special defenses tho, and mega pidgeot is REALLY hard to Defog with. :/ I'll trust your judgement I guess, but it's still a bit of an issue having to Defog with a speedy special attacker. I'll definitely use ditto, but I'm fairly sure breloom is wrecked by...

    Other Monotype Normal team

I decided to make a normal type team due to them only sharing a single weakness, making it easier to construct a solid team. I started out with a totally different team, but it ended up shifting toward this. Bibarel @ Leftovers Ability: Unaware EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Bold Nature -...
