  1. Pokémon Charizard

That's fucking amazing. Assuming 1.2x boost CharX needed SR to OHKO Azumarill at 1+ with thunderpunch 100% of the time and to 2hko Heatran, now it not only doesn't need SR, but it also can 2hko defensive heatran with SR. Now the only reason to run EQ over TP once pokebank is released is...
  2. Pokémon Malamar

Being reliant on focus sash is the problem, you either need heavy spin/defog or wish support to make it work and considering Prankster users like Sableye and Klefki can stop sweeps just as effectively, it's just not worth it.
  3. Pokémon Charizard

    Some calcs for CharX (magnet/charcoal = tough claws boost) +1 252+ Atk (custom) Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 216-255 (53.46 - 63.11%) -- guaranteed 2HKO +1 252+ Atk Magnet (custom) ThunderPunch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 388-458 (96.03 - 113.36%) -- 75% chance to OHKO ---+1 252+...
  4. Other 6th Gen Pokemon OU Candidate Speculation Thread

So, realistically speaking does something besides Aegislash and Talonflame has a chance at being OU?. I can see Adaptability Dragalge and Klefki working in OU, but I seriously doubt their status as actual OU pokemon. Everything else just seems incredible underwhelming imo. Oh yeah, there's...
  5. Other The state of entry hazards for gen 6

I have tried 3 spider web users and Galvantula is the worst in my humble opinion. Shuckle is the best one at dealing with defog as it can survive and come back several time through the battle to use the webs. Infestation+toxic makes him capable of killing something once its job is done...
  6. Other 6th Gen Pokemon OU Candidate Speculation Thread

-Aegislash is gonna be OU for sure. It's not really a 1 trick pony like some are claiming either, random shadow balls can ruin the fun of dedicated physical walls. -Talonflame is my 2nd candidate, this thing is annoying if you don't have something that resist Fire and Flying, Priority...
  7. Pokémon Blaziken

Have you even played lately? Talonflame is everywhere and makes the life of lots of Pokemon a nightmare, Blaziken included, priority on a move with 180 BP just destroys sweepers. With the new Defog* rocks are not even a problem. *thanks PKMN1
  8. Pokémon Blaziken

Talonflame, resists both STABs and can 1hko with flying priority.
  9. Other Is Weather Still Viable?

Hail got hit the hardest. Even though Abomanow got a mega and a new Pokemon got Snow Warning (aurorus) the main gimick of Hail, Ice body, is now useless and stuff like Stallrein is dead for good. The nerf to Blizzard BP is just the nail in the coffin.
  10. Pokémon Charizard

Yeah, it's all about DD (or scarfmoxie) Garchomp is a Bulky attacker, a Tank, A wallbreaker, whatever you want, but it's not a sweeper. The "magic" of the Mence-Quaza combo is that no matter who dies first, the other one can finish the sweep. If you were using Salamence and Garchomp and then...
  11. Pokémon Charizard

Thunderpunch is a tutor move, so it's not available until December. EQ is not affected by though claws but it gives you perfect coverage. In fact I'd say EQ>Thunderpunch if you are running CharX as your sole DD sweeper.
  12. Pokémon Charizard

Pre gen 6 you could spam Outrages with one to weaken the opponent team and then the second one to clean up. Basically running 2 DDers (or scarf moxie) to break through the opponent team with brute force. Now that's harder to do with fairies, but CharX has stab Though claws Flare Blitz to take...
  13. Pokémon Pangoro

Tried a Scarf set with Parting shot. It's fantastic at keeping momentum and supporting the team, but it can't really do much else. It's too slow to run adamant and his moves lack on BP to actually hurt stuff, it would kill for close combat.
  14. Pokémon Charizard

Currently running Salamence and ChariX as a pseudo Mence/Rayquaza uber combo, working wonders, especially since ChariX eats fairies for breakfast. Thunderpunch is doing alright against those pesky Azumarills.
  15. Pokémon Mawile

Currently using subpunch set paired with a parting shot Pangoro. Parting shot + intimidate for a free sub and then this thing just OHKOes everything, so good.
  16. Poll for our default simulator tiering level

Yeah, but that's because balance issues. The level scaling kills legit strategies that are not op or unbalanced in the slightest.
  17. Poll for our default simulator tiering level

No FEAR no deal. Level scaling doesn't support stuff like lv 1 endeavor/pain split. I like the "anything you can get ingame" sort of rule Smogon currently uses.
  18. Other Shiny new toys

Raichu got its base speed increased to 110 this gen.
  19. Data Updated Base Stats

Poliwrath and Gigalith love those. No idea if 10 attack are gonna do anything for Golem. The rest are meh.
  20. Pokémon Yveltal

afaik in gen 6 legendaries always have 3 or more IVs at 31, so I would keep trying to get a better nature if someone can confirm the IV thing.
