Now that Arceus will be available for use, is their some kind of back up plan if an Uber pokemon is considered too powerful for even Ubers? I'm not too sure what could stop the extreme-killer set, along with his base stats. So is there any plan if Arceus (or anyone in general I guess) become too...
  3. Riding the Metronome Tournament! (Signups)

I would like to join this tourney :D
  4. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 20 (READ THE OP)

Can anyone explain how Serence Grace works with Critical Hit ratios? For example. if I were to use Togekiss with Air Cutter and a Scope Lens, or a CH boosting item, what would his Critical Hit ratio be?
  5. Moltres Return ! (Ou RMT )

Ok a couple things here. First off: your Crobat. You really should drop Cross Poison. It's not all that strong and the only thing your hitting for SE damage is lead Roserade. I also don't like Hypnosis anymore, but that's your call. So in place of Cross Poison and maybe Hypnosis, I suggest...
  6. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

I've been using Sub-NP Mismagius with great success in OU latley. I'll bring him in on say, a grass knot aimed at Swampert, set-up and sweep away. He opens up tons of holes in the other team, and sub protection helps a ton. I haven't used him in UU yet, but I suppose he's just as good.
  7. Team Nestor: An Empoleon Sweep!

Alright although I got a great suggestion in Roserade I still need other suggestions guys! This team is far from perfect. And on Roseade, I haven't gotten to do enough testing to make my decision on if I'll replace Jolteon and what set.
  8. Team Nestor: An Empoleon Sweep!

Roserade seems like an excellent option! Toxic spikes would help, but I figured that would make my team stall-like, but with Roserade I can keep going at a high paced offense and cripple bulky waters. Thanks for that! In place of Jolteon, I will play test a Scarf-Roserade with those moves, and...
  9. Team Nestor: An Empoleon Sweep!

I will reserve this post for a Threat List, which I will get to sometime tomorrow. And hopefully my TeamBuilder Weakness/Resistance chart will come out nice, as well. edit: It didn't. Can I have a tip on how to put that chart in? Copy and Pasting doesn't work and it can't get copied as an...
  10. Team Nestor: An Empoleon Sweep!

Team Nestor Introduction This is my team that uses synergy, teamwork, and messing with the opponent’s head all while setting up for an Empoleon sweep. Each team member has it’s own specific role that helps my Empoleon (who with my originality is nickname-less :P) As a whole, I’ve...
  11. HGSS Megaspeculation Thread

It only makes sense that these games will be considered 4th gen games, since FRLG were the same gen as RSE, but in the article it states this Will HGSS be a 5th gen game? Sorry if this has been asked before.
  12. Girl, he went there - AGAIN! [OU RMT]

For a mixed sweeper/wall breaker, I would try out Physically Based Infernape, with Naive/Hasty 252 Atk, 64 Spa, 192 Spe Overheat Close Combat U-Turn/Mach Punch Stone Edge/Mach Punch Overheat and Close Combat OHKO SkarmBliss respectivley, and U-Turn and Stone Edge give good...
  13. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 19 (READ THE OP)

Oh I usually check at around 15-20. That won't be accurate? Alright thanks

Is there any reason why, when finding IV's, instead of using rare candies you put the 'mon in the daycare until he raises a few levels, then put the stats in a calc? I've never seen this strategy in a guide, and I feel like it's much easier than the rare candy way since they're not easy to find...
  15. New UU List (July 2009)

I'm not too experienced with UU, but I was thinking of using an offensive Donphan set that mimicks Empoleons AgilitySubPetaya Donphan@Leichi Berry Adamant/Jolly Nature 252 Atk, 252 Spe -Rock Polish -Substitute -Earthquake -Stone Edge Without Bronzong, EQ and Stone Edge attain perfect...
  16. Ambipom made ya flinch :P Team Sin strikes again!

What Jumpman's saying is your Celebi, who passes Sword Dances, only has the choices of Ambipom and Salamence to pass to, and they're not good recipients since Amb. is Choiced and Mence has DD. Plus, Bullet Punch OHKO's you're little monkey friend, so that's pretty null as well. Change Ambipom...
  17. Team ParaPerl [OU RMT]

Put Body Slam over Thunderwave on either Togekiss or Dunsparce. They both get STAB, and they can paralyze pokes immune to T-wave. You're best way of dealing with Blissey is Latias tricking it, since Ambipon is you're only physical attacker (bar headbut from Dunsparce). I would throw in a...
  18. The Only Successful Team I've Ever Made is Based on a Penguin [OU]

The thing with Flare Blitz over Fire Punch is you aren't missing any important OHKO's, says the analysis. Anyway.. Latias, if you don't use Wish enough, you could put in Safeguard or even Draco Meteor. Safeguard goes more with the support, so your switch ins (who are mostly physical) won't...
  19. Team (Typhlosion?) OU RMT

Crap, forgot about this lol. Thank you tons Macle and Bloo. The only change I wasn't going to make was Surf to Ice Beam, but Surf isn't doing too much and Ice Beam does infact work better. I playeed a rain dance team and lost badly. A Swampert was handing out boosted Waterfalls that were doing...
  20. RATE IT!

Your team is MixApe weak. HP Ice takes down Latias and Dragonite, Grass Knot takes down Swampert, and Meta and Bronzong fall to fire blast. You could either give Latias Surf, or add this starmie. Starmie@Expert Belt Ability: Natural Cure EV's: 4 HP, 252 SpA, 252 Spe Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)...
