The point, as I've stated, is to die right after using Befriend. Choice Scarf helps pull this off. Ex: Aianto used Befriend! Dragonite gained Truant! Dragonite used Fire Blast! Aianto Fainted! (Shandera switches in)

Actually, I'm 100% sure you can switch out on the turn you're carelessly slacking off.
