I'm confused, how does the rain affect the damage of electric-based attacks? Maybe special electric-based attacks' accuracy (rather than just Thudner, but do any other special electric-based attacks have less than 100% accuracy?) could increase, but not the damage.

Well, the reason they added that was so that you would use the link with a friend to: a) make sure you have friends b) make sure you use the link cable like Satoshi imagined we would. I don't always like it either, but it's not too bothersome to me in the long run.

If the gen V comes out in December 2010 (which it won't), HG/SS will have been out for over a year in Japan. I doubt they're going to speed up the process in America. It'll probably be about the same time-gap from HG/SS to gen V. A year is more than enough time to beat Pokemon, if you ask me.

Are you kidding me? Animal Farm was terrible. If I wanted to learn something about the Russian Revolution I'd read about Leon Trotsky or Josef Stalin. Not only was the learning curve not there, but all of the characters were poorly represented. Except for Napoleon(stalin), that pig was a bad mofo.

I think he he meant more like there's a bunch of new pokes, rather than a bunch of older pokes re-used in this region's pokedex. I 100% doubt GameFreak would forsake backwards compatibility if they're using the same console as Gen IV.

According to what I've seen, Zoroark is going to be it's English name. The Japanese name given to it is more like "Zoroāku". Same thing for it's pre-evolution (Zoroa --> Zorua) I'm pretty damn sure that Zoroark and Zorua are at least some type of foreign to Japanese name.

In regards to animation, I think he meant the kind of current stuff that goes on, but just 1-2 seconds of it. That way the game gets sped up. I mean, no one wants to sit and watch Typhlosion use Eruption 4 times in a row >>; right?
