  1. Pokémon Hawlucha

Sorry, but I'm not sure of the terminology. "SD"? And yeah, taking an actual hit is not a great situation, though it could be mitigated somewhat if you predict an attack that Hawlucha resists. Hm... wait, can the Kee Berry trigger if the attack hits a Substitute? Wait, that's basically just the...
  2. Pokémon Hawlucha

On the subject of triggering Unburden, what about Kee Berries and Maranga Berries? They trigger upon taking a physical or special attack (respectively) to boost the user's defense. Now, Hawlucha doesn't really care about the defense boost itself, but this would allow him to trigger Unburden and...
  3. Pokémon Absol

Or they give it to a Pokemon nobody uses in a serious context, and gives it a much-appreciated boost. See also Kangaskhan, Mawile, and Aggron. But yes, some of the choices were them just piling love onto creatures that didn't need extras. Aw, darn. I guess that leaves Kingdra as the only...
  4. Pokémon Absol

Could a Super Luck crit set be viable for a (non-Mega) Absol? Super Luck, combined with a Scope Lens and a high-crit move will always result in a critical hit, which is effectively a Life Orb boost without the health drop, and ignoring defense boosts/attack drops. A potential set could be...
  5. Regigigas

If you snd him out and don't use Pursuit, or don't have it, then the opponent who's afflicted with Mummy will switch out next turn, denying Regigigas is chance to shed Slow Start. Slaking can use Pursuit to make contact with the Mummified enemy whether they switch or not. Regigigas can't do...
  6. Regigigas

The problem with the Cofagrigus strategy is that, unlike Slaking, Regigigas does not get Pursuit. Slaking needs Pursuit in cs the opponent tries the obvious response: switching out. And Cofagrigus can't learn Baton Pass. Unless you could have Cofagrigus Escape Button to something that does...
  7. Accelgor

I like the idea of him using U-Turn as a lead in conjunction with an Espeon/Xatu to stop hazards. Most leads working with a MM user just switch out, but this way he gets some damage in, and makes good use of his insane speed.
  8. Shedinja

I wonder: how useful is it to Pass a Substitute to Shedinja? Also, what's a good way to protect him from Sandstorm/Hail? Perhaps, in doubles, he could be paired with a Cloud Nine Lickilicky or something.
  9. Regigigas

Wondering, which Ability-changing moves actually work on Slow Start? With the Mental Herb, I realize that he could have more Doubles partners than just Whimsicott.
  10. Amoonguss

Maybe his little arm-shields turn out to be WHEELS!
  11. Serperior

And his physical movepool isnt that bad. With Overgrow, Coil makes Leech Seed/Glare much more accurate and reliable.
  12. Excadrill

Bullet Punches? He's resistant to those, Technician or no.
  13. Tangrowth

    ?
  14. Serperior

    Or a Bug move.
  15. Serperior

I posted a set in the Original Movesets thread (well, Subseed on a Serperior is original, compared to yet another Leaf Storm set), where his fourth move is Dragon Tail, which is his main way of dealing with Ferrothorns. Best used with Spikes support, of course.
  16. Serperior

However, Coil Up lets you use Leech Seed reliably, which works on any Steel short of Ferrothorn.
  17. Serperior

Coil Up, I'd say. You get better accuracy for moves like Leech Seed and Dragon Tail and Glare. Plus, Leaf Blade is physical, and quite strong. And using Calm Mind... well, if you want to use Special attacks, you'd be better off with using Contrarian, anyway.
  18. Creative (and good) Movesets (READ THE OP FIRST)

Sleep Talk with Aromatherapy? Interesting. I wonder if such a set could be viable without Dragon Tail.
  19. Volcarona

Question: does Stealth Rock hit through Passed Substitutes?
  20. Creative (and good) Movesets (READ THE OP FIRST)

Wait, that Altaria set works better, since Power Swap drops Draco Meteor's power drop onto the enemy. Exeggutor can do the same thing with Leaf Storm, actually.
