  1. Other Most overhyped or underated aspect this gen so far?

Ghost is a good neutral attacking type, sure, but I wouldn't say its the best... It only hits 2 things for super effective, psychic being an uncommon type in OU, and Ghost, but that is kind of a double edged sword, considering ghosts won't want to stay in unless they are faster. Yeah, it blocks...
  2. Pokémon Kangaskhan

Thats basically confirming why I would use the crunch + sucker punch combo. And I have been in fear of just running crunch against Aegislash, and in fear of just running Sucker Punch against things with WoW... so yeah. just run both. No need for EQ anyways.
  3. Pokémon Kangaskhan

So since M-Gengar's ban, I have been trying to think of who I want as my new mega, and I have kind of settled on M-Kanga. I do have a couple questions though... First, and this might be against the rules to ask this.... but... looking at the thread, it seems a lot of people are saying how over...
  4. Pokémon Pangoro

Personally, I am planning on running a Choice Scarf on my Pangoro. Probably some sort of EV spread of 252 Speed, and 252 Attack. Jolly. Moves will be Parting Shot, Earthquake/Stone Edge, Crunch, and probably Hammer Arm... (Yeah I know Hammer Arm and Scarf makes no sense, but he doesn't have...
  5. Item Assault Vest

So, regarding my last post on my Tangrowth (regardless of if other people have mentioned it earlier, because I didn't bother to check), I decided to look further into this. Here is a series of calcs. Here is the set I decided to run with, just to try stuff out...: Tangrowth - Relaxed -...
  6. Item Assault Vest

so. i have been spending awhile trying to think of my 6th for my team.... needed a tank that could hit back with decent recovery. i dont know why i finally came to this conclusion, and i dont know if it was mentioned yet.... tangrowth ~ assault vest ~ regenorator sassy hp 252 ~ def 28 ~ sp...
  7. Move Belch

What about a chesto-rest stockpile set for some belch user? Maybeee Garbodor or Swalot with Stock Pile, Rest, Belch, annnnd something? Swalot learns surf... Would be better on a Calm Mind set but no pokemon learns Calm Mind and Belch. Kind of grasping for straws here though...
  8. Pokémon Vivillon

To someone's point earlier, I am 99% sure I saw that this guy can learn U-Turn from TM.
  9. Wigglytuff

0 atk ev neutral nature Munchlax Focus Punch vs 0 def ev neutral nature wigglytuff: 83-98% THAT WIGGLYTUFF IS HACKED. Seriously though, why bring back this thread for that?
  10. (Un)Official Smogon University PO Stats -- August 2011

Tauros did get sheer force, but if I remember correctly, it doesn't have much it can really abuse with it (physically)... Rock Slide, Zen Headbutt, Rock Climb, Iron Tail. That is pretty much it.
  11. Super Frog VS... British Bat?

Protect spam really did a number on this war story with the hax it did... but it didn't make me hate it. Also, him disconnecting, although he had it lost at that point, definitely is kind of an annoyance. Overall though, nice war story, good predictions... Very successful.
  12. R U READY FOR RU?

Shedinja was not MVP in my opinion. Shedinja only killed 2 (weakened) pokemon, and it only really shined there at the end. Miltank, on the other hand... holy cow (lol). That thing walled, hit hard, and kept the team going. Miltank was definitely your MVP.
  13. Lickilicky

I actually decided to add that to the original post. I thought of trying out that set a few months ago but never got around to it and forgot about it completely. Thanks for bringing it up again.
  14. Dual Weather Teams

I used a rain/sand team for a bit. I enjoyed it. I called it my "mud" team. I generally used it with the intention of sand to stall early, and rain to clean up late. Tyranitar, Skarmory, Politoed were always givens. Kabutops was awesome to use for late game while rain was up, as I gave...
  15. Rain Stall... Does it work?

So, if drizzle goes, thats pretty much the end of rain stall. There goes my favorite team. :[

Lol? Was troll face necessary? Sure. Actually you were agreeing with me in the post, you just used a bad example. I mostly agree with that idea, actually. But when I read that, I found it quite humorous, probably for the fact that I had been part of that whole spiel (considering I played in...
  17. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 4 - Blaze of Glory

This. By far. I love how in the usage statistics and other threads people say things like "WEATHER IS IN 90% OF THE GAMES" and all they did was add the 2 percentages. Then maybe 1 or 2 other members say "your math is wrong..." and everyone ignores them. Ffs people, Politoed is in the top...
  18. Poll: Would you still play in Smogon's OU if all perma-weather was banned?

Truth. It will put us back in where we were at during 4th gen (minus sand). Making Latios, Garchomp, Latias all ban worthy. Of course, we will never know until something like this happens. But still a worry.
  19. Should we ban perma weather?

Well honestly, I always found stealth rock to be really freaking annoying in gen4, and felt that it limited the usefulness of many pokemon who were completely crippled by the power of stealth rocks. I could argue that its crippling abilities against the likes of 20% of the metagame limited...
