  6. Hydreigon's New Era

Like I said a rain-boosted surf does almost as much as EP. LO Hydreigon surf vs 4/0Jirachi = 57-67% LO Hydreigon EP vs 4/0 Jirachi = 72-85% Both are only a guaranteed 2KO. On Heatran surf 1KOs as well as EP unless if the Heatran is running max HP/SDef. On Scizor surf does more than EP. On...
  7. Making sense of the type effectiveness chart NO I HAVE NEVER TRIED

Really steel resisting dark is probably due to its hardness. Dark-type moves are usually physical like pursuit, sucker punch, night slash and crunch. For most steel-types that doesn't really make a difference from moves like tackle and pound, for other types it might be different.
  8. Hydreigon's New Era

What's the point of that? STAB dragon pulse hits almost as hard (3/4 of it), same for rain-boosted surf. There is pretty much no point for EP since it doesn't make a major difference in anything.

Thanks for the help. What's a good check to extremekiller Arceus and Swords Dance Arceus-Ghosts?
  12. Ask an Uber Question, Get an Uber Answer (Read FAQs in First Post Before Asking)

What's the best counter to Calm mind Arceus? Also what is the most appropriate check to CM Mewtwo?
  13. Double Team and Minimize:Broken or Uncompetitive?

Double team is both broken and uncompetitive. The main reason is that double team is a complete luck-based strategy, 100% reliant on the random number generator. In other words it isn't really a strategy at all. You really don't need much skill to use double team, because their really is no...
  14. Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer Mark II - Read the FAQ in the Opening Post

What are some good partners for CBTyranitar?
  15. Rain

Yeah that could work although Toxicroak would lose ice punch that way, making it walled by Gliscor. That sounds plausible although Latios cannot lay down stealth rocks. I suppose Scizor could be replaced with something that can learn SR?
  16. Rain

Rain This is in general an offensively based rain team that I made. Under the conditions of rain both Starmie and Thundurus can become quite dangerous if not handled correctly, and this team is generally focused on pulling of a Thundurus or Starmie sweep. At a glance In depth Politoed @...
  17. 5th Gen Newb Team

Serperior might be original but it can't set up stealth rock. Offensive teams simply must have stealth rock to net some KOs. Zoroark tends to be a poorly functioning dark type. You could try Tyranitar in its place to deal with Reuniclus and also remove Cresselia and Latios for Garchomp to...
  18. 5th Gen Newb Team

If you want a dual screening lead use Deoxys-S. It does everything Serperior does except for phazing, which isn't really important anyways considering it's going to die pretty quickly. Deoxys-S also provides stealth rock which is essential. Consider Ice Punch>Superpower on Feraligatr. This...
  19. My first RMT

Seeing as this is a more stall-oriented team, definitely don't try to use as little choice items as possible unless if you absolutely need to. Choice Specs Zapdos does not accomplish much. For one, Thundurus is better with choice specs/scarf. So either use Thundurus for the offensive role or use...
  20. When walls break

If you're trying to use a calm mind Latios, switch to Latias. With more special bulk Latias finds itself more set up time. Latias also takes ice beams from bulky waters more easily. Otherwise just use the all out attacking set. Lucario is definitely better off with crunch than ice punch. Yes...
