Thanks for the help, Novaray! I'll update my RMT shortly.
  2. Getting back into the game

Thank you for your input, sir! I have updated my roster.
  3. Getting back into the game

Hello Smogon! It's been about a year since I last played, and I am extremely rusty and somewhat oblivious to the changes that have happened since then (the exception being the banning of Excadrill). Anyways, last summer I was always somewhere between 1250-1300 points, the top 1000 of the ladder...
  4. Dream World OU Sandstorm Team

...good call. I used too have a bunch of dream world abilities on this team, like sb blaziken. I might just go with the vaporeon and try this team in OU. Any more suggestions?
  5. Dream World OU Sandstorm Team

I've realized that it is close to impossible to win without a weather team. I always thought weather teams kind of took the creativity out of teambuilding and made battles go the same way each time. However, I think I have made a somewhat out of the ordinary sandstorm team, one that has boosted...
  6. Spindaslayer's Gen 5 RMT

It's a been a few days so I think it's appropriate to bump. Advice anyone? Lord knows I could use it.
  7. Spindaslayer's Gen 5 RMT

Yeah, I decided to put a life orb on Terrakion instead. Also pushed off weavile for scizor and ferrothorn for swampert. My team is much more balanced and not rock and fighting prone.
  8. Spindaslayer's Gen 5 RMT

Made a few changes by your guy's suggestions. Improved I think!
  9. Spindaslayer's Gen 5 RMT

The point of this team... is I'm not sure. I made this team off of my knowledge from the 4th generation metagame and the few articles I read on the new generation. It has been working decently, but it definitely needs work. Thundurus@Focus Sash Thunderbolt HP Ice Taunt Thunder Wave Nature...
  10. This team is so cool, it's frozen (monotype team)

how about making froslass the lead? Froslass is a pretty common and effective spiker lead, so no one would suspect a hail team.
  11. Sumo Wrestlers

Since you're going for a defensive team, maybe you should go for an anti-lead (such as machamp). Also, if you need spikes/stealth rock, you should consider skarmory (one of the best spikers). Plus, he can whirlwind and slowly cause damage, which is what you want on a defensive team like yours...
  12. Spindaslayer's First RMT

thanks azlan! flygon and zapdos have been the crux of this team, making the difference in a tight game. I have a simple question just on how speed works when both pokemon have the same speed. If there was a timid gengar vs. my timid froslass, who would go first? And how do you insert images?
  13. Spindaslayer's First RMT

@techno thanks. @azlan maybe i should replace froslass with gyarados to deal with infernape?
  14. Spindaslayer's First RMT

didn't work...still forced to use an IV of 22 in HP
  15. Spindaslayer's First RMT

thanks for all the help azlan! I think I'll go with zapdos. Items, natures, and EV's if you can? Why can't I use hidden power grass with a bold nature? it keeps saying "this pokemon has an invalid combination of IV's and Nature" WTF? wow...this forum moves really fast... anyone care to give...
  16. Spindaslayer's First RMT

Nice suggestion Azlan! I have been thinking about Starmie, but your analysis has convinced me! Rotom seems like a good suggestion, but that leaves my team with 3 ghost weaknesses! Anyone else who can do the job? Would a zapdos work well?
  17. OU TEAM - HELP

since you already have toxic on your blissey, I would recommend taking it off your zapdos and using the extra slot for rapid spin. Rapid spin is VERY useful late in the game when you're constantly switching and don;t need the extra damage.
  18. OU Toxic Spikes

just a small suggestion from a new player... I would put payback over explosion for surprise damage. Explosion will kill most stuff, but a well timed payback can be devastating to an opposing ghost type trying to block you. Just my thoughts...feel free to ignore lol
  19. Spindaslayer's First RMT

I'd say that this is a fairly balanced team, more focused on the offensive side. Generally, I think it handles most threats well, but I'm still having trouble with Infernapes. I basically have to keep switching until it runs out of dynamic punch. Bullet punch also screws over my lead. (fixed the...
