  1. Distrurbing tendencies in DP battles.

Obviously, but no one said your entire team has to consist entirely of mixed sweepers... Mixed pokemon are merely a 'trump' card to begin busting through walls and reward correct prediction, and even a single mixed member should suffice if you feel you need it.
  2. Distrurbing tendencies in DP battles.

Bronzong with HP Ice is obviously a premier counter for SpecsMence outside of Blissey -or Gyro Ball if you're desperate-, people just have to start using creative typing to their advantage and factor that into their EV spreads and damage calculations when creating a team. Hell, even something...
  3. Another new tier system >_>

BL is just a faux tier of pokemon too powerful for UU, and thus moving them 'up' to OU will do nothing helpful for their usage unless someone comes up with a revolutionary strategy. I thought that was agreed upon and understood ages ago...
  4. New Recommendations Thread

However, I obviously cannot count. Not that it makes any difference, but in my first post, I meant five rules rather than four since I numbered them incorrectly -_-
  5. New Recommendations Thread

Spiritomb is actually a really poor counter for exactly the reason you said: he can't switch in and survive two Draco Meteors, thus requiring GODLY prediction skills. I'd actually suggest HP Ice Bronzong over Spiritomb any day if you're looking for alternative Blissey replacements to counter...
  6. New Recommendations Thread

There are generally four rules I follow when creating a team: 1) Have a central, unifying strategy. It doesn't have to be anything deeply complex or subtle; sometimes, I just pick a pokemon I'd like the team to center around and allow to sweep. For instance, I take a pokemon like Porygon-Z...
  7. List with the most used Pokemon in the new metagame, based in the RTM Subforums

I don't understand the Uber metagame nearly as well as OU, so I suppose that's why I was unaware of this. Thanks for the correction.
  8. STAB Explosion (Lickilicky Discussion)

It is shameless >_> It's best to keep that kind of thing out of these threads.
  9. List with the most used Pokemon in the new metagame, based in the RTM Subforums

Blissey's use is more likely laziness on the RMT creators parts if they decided not to run specific damage calculations to figure out defensive EVs required to survive certain attacks with Lugia and Giratina; she's simply the most convenient special wall in existence, so why not use her?
  10. STAB Explosion (Lickilicky Discussion)

The reason why Lickilicky fails as a physical AND special wall isn't because of it's stats, but because of it's horrible resistances, immunities, and weaknesses. On the predominantly physical side, his Fighting weakness is crippling (hello Close Combat), and he lacks key resists/immunities...
  11. Defense and Special Defense Tiers

Wow, these are incredibly useful Dragontamer, and thanks much for taking the time to create and compile them. They'll certainly save me a lot of time when looking for decent walls for my teams.
  12. STAB Explosion (Lickilicky Discussion)

Hmm, now that you guys put in the paralysis, if you used the same CS set, but paralysis support @ Leftovers instead, Lickilicky could be an invaluable member of Flinchhax teams that feature Air Slash/T-Wave Togekiss with Me First/ Body Slam/ Thunder/ Filler (perhaps Protect to scout out Choice...
  13. STAB Explosion (Lickilicky Discussion)

Actually, it doesn't. I don't know if this is just a personal preference of mine, but when I make ANY CS set, I like to hit 384 speed with whatever pokemon I'm slapping the CS on to outrun Jolly, max speed Weavile. It's a nice speed to hit and guarentees you'll outspeed a lot of your intended...
  14. STAB Explosion (Lickilicky Discussion)

I'm actually not a huge fan of your Choice Scarf set. 261 is hardly enough to outrun almost anything particularly useful in the current metagame, so all you're doing is eliminating potential leftovers recovery, the freedom to switch moves when you need it, and otherwise making Lickilicky dead...
  15. "Ask a simple question, get a simple answer" mark 4.

Is there any specific Information on Tailwind? As in how much it boosts your pokemon's speed, and for how long?
  16. return of the gimmicks! at least possibly competitive ones. . .

In case any of you were planning on using it, my calculations for Froslass on the first page were completely off. Here's what the set's EVs and nature should actually look like, and it will still be able to do everything I said, with the exception of having a chance at OHKOing Gengar, though...
  17. Increased Use of Regi's. (Disccusion of Sorts)

The difference is, T-tar isn't used to wall a bunch of physical crap, which is what the intention behind Regirock's creation seems to be.
  18. Increased Use of Regi's. (Disccusion of Sorts)

I think he has his fair share of very good special moves, but he doesn't have the special attack to use them appropriately; Sandstorm boosting special defense, along with Blissey and Cresselia soaking up his hits tremendously well, makes his already mediocre special attack less than impressive...
  19. Increased Use of Regi's. (Disccusion of Sorts)

I don't know about you, but I don't tend to waste more than one slot on a special wall on my team, since D/P's physical threats are inherently more prominent. And when I pick that wall, I don't want to have to explode on what may be only one of the opponent's special sweepers; I want...
  20. Increased Use of Regi's. (Disccusion of Sorts)

Well, it's not just Hypnosis, but his lack of a decent ability (Clear Body is only particularly useful on sweepers like Metagross) that fails to grant him a key type immunity or neutrality/resistance to one of his weaknesses. And that 150 defense in all honesty should be considered 75 for the...
