  1. Drapion (Analysis)

How would Weezing absorb Toxic Spikes? I thought levitating poisons didn't absorb those. Though immunity to Earthquake does keep him from doing anything Utility-wise.
  2. Team Shedinja 2.0

Hitmontop makes a great lead already, and he hasn't really let me down too much. I'll keep him around for now, though perhaps I should put pursuit/a ghost counter in case someone ELSE (happened twice before) uses the old Spikes then Ghost combo. Claydol worked before, but now he just isn't...
  3. Team Shedinja 2.0

I'm back in the shoddy battle field. I never really made a splash, so you probably don't care... but it does matter to me, seeing as though I'm rusty again. Basically, my mom promised me that should would take me to the store to buy Pokemon Platinum today. Unfortunately, she lied, aka had...
  4. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 13

Venusaur is my biggest enemy. Hate it. Hate it. HATE IT. Especially Hans'. I read the strategy pokedex, but most of the counters (save for weezing and... crobat?) are OU. Wrong thread to complain about it being too strong, but what kind of counters are there in our UU metagame?
  5. RMT [Shoddy UU]

*checks* Huh. Could've sworn that he already had a -Spd nature. I'll fix that. Okay, thank you guys for 'fixing' the team. I'll work around with Hitmontop's moves a bit, to see what works, but for the most part I'm solid. I'm sick of loosing to Eo Ut Mortus and Hans Davidson, though...
  6. RMT [Shoddy UU]

They say Toxicroak is staple. I haven't seen any others. I never figured taunt to be so useful, but after getting my ass handed to me by Venasaur and Poliwrath (capable of sweeping my whole team) I've changed my mine. It's never come in handy, really, since steelix is the only one to use it...
  7. RMT [Shoddy UU]

Wheres the rules about bumping? I probably overlooked them. Meh.
  8. UU is even more centralised than OU is

Half of my team fits on that list, so I'm half centralized. Pbth. I see way too many Poliwraths, Leafeons and Absols though. One is guaranteed to show up every other match atleast.
  9. RMT [Shoddy UU]

Squeakyreaper. Heh. I'm definitely doing something wrong here, but roar has worked to reveal the rest of his team. Edit: Bastiodon ftw. I just swept a team with him. Seriously. They had a huge Stealth Rock weakness, couldn't kill him in time, and toxic did it's job. Edit2: Anything with...
  10. RMT [Shoddy UU]

Claydol doesn't have rain dance, and I'm not using spikes. Rain Dance isn't the point of the team, shedinja is. And I need spinners because shedinja dies to spikes. By the way, thank you. After two sword dances, my Toxicroak sweeped three different people (most of their team, atleast)...
  11. RMT [Shoddy UU]

The reason for using Hitmontop was, in general, for two reasons: Rain Dance and Rapid Spin. Rain Dance was, more or less, a filler since he didn't really need any other moves. It helped, but wasn't NEEDED. Rapid Spin is the real reason to use him in the first place, though. Otherwise I'd...
  12. RMT [Shoddy UU]

Hrm. I thought someone would suggest Ninetales, but I'll see if theres any other options. If theres not, I'll use 'em. I know Ninetales and Claydol are used alot, but I didn't figure the rest to be used often. Gorebyss stays, though, since shes been reliable to me very frequently. Needs a...
  13. RMT [Shoddy UU]

Foo, didn't know that Houndoom was BL. That sucks. But who can I replace him with? Hideously generic? I don't notice much GENERIC about it, but I haven't exactly been battling for a long time... whats so generic about it? Yeah, fault is... kinda faulty. How much would suffice as being...
  14. RMT [Shoddy UU]

All of the following is revised. Thanks for your help! I still have a few weaknesses, though. Scythers and Poliwraths have been known to sweep my teams unmercifully, for example. Anyone else with substitution has hurt me pretty badly, but thats my strategies' fault. Anywho, my team is...
  15. A Pokemon Draft.

Hm... This would change alot of things, so I feel this is important. Would the people be able to choose the moveset after everyone has picked, or do they make the moveset right there and then?
  16. Speed 201

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23432 Very, very useful. But all 201 speed does is outspeed most pokemon that don't have any EVs in speed or natures for speed upping. 199 is better, IMO.
  17. What do you guys think about the item clause?

I like it. Reason being is that a team of Life Orbers/Choice Items is annoyingly powerful to fight, while a team of Leftover users are just boring. Spice it up a bit, or equip some danged silk scarfs.
  18. "Ask a simple question, get a simple answer" mark 4.

Hm... so if I used Destiny Bond with my next pokemon, its pretty much guaranteeing that they won't attack, correct? Thats helpful for my Banette.
  19. "Ask a simple question, get a simple answer" mark 4.

How does Destiny Bond work? I mean, does the user have to go first for it to work? Or if you move last, will the next hit still activate Destiny Bond?
