I mentioned this on the server several days ago -- The usage stats indicate that the new Playtesting format was a HUGE success. I know some of the server regulars were not terribly enthusiastic about playing a ladder with "just one" CAP pokemon. But, it seems to have attracted a lot more users. There are several other factors that could have caused the traffic spike, but I think the dedicated playtesting format made the CAP game more accessible and encouraged more new users to try it out. We'll see how it goes in future months, to determine if it is really working or not. But, it's nice to see the upward trend in CAP server battle counts.
It was also nice to see the resurgence in the Little Cup metagame. Last month, I was on the verge of removing the Little Cup ladder due to inactivity. I don't know what happened, but whatever the LC community did to improve traffic -- it worked! I even generated teammate stats for LC, if that helps.
To all the server mods and server regulars -- thank you for keeping the server active and fun. The server is a huge part of the overall CAP project and its popularity. Thanks to everyone that battles on the server, which makes it possible for us to collect statistics about the pokemon we create here.
