Two soon-to-be partners in climbing to the Eye of the Storm, LouisCyphre and zarator, face off in the hopes of preparing their Pokemon for the toils ahead. Lou brings with him Valentine the Electrike and Tee Hee the Voodoll; zarator is accompanied by two Pichu, Anhur and Isis. As the round begins, electricity arcs in all sorts of directions; both of the Pichu are struck, but their attacks are drawn to Valentine. The thunder pup, though paralyzed, is clearly more powerful for it - Lou's zombie doll manages to escape scot-free as well.

Valentine takes the initiative after the electricity is discharged, launching his own discharge of power - the force of the blow strikes every Pokemon on the field, including its partner (who appears to be paralyzed from the force of the attack). The Pichu are quick to retaliate - first Isis, releasing a small jolt of electric energy directed at Tee Hee. However, once again, Valentine draws the electricity in, growing ever stronger for it. Anhur attempts to use some sort of hidden technique, but his muscles seize up as he attempts to do so - full paralysis sets in, stopping him from completing the move! Tee Hee finally acts once the Pichu are done with their trivial assault - a haunting song fills the ears of all who hear it, promising oblivion in a rather short period of time. This referee certainly did not need to hear that - perhaps he won't be conscious enough to finish the match.

Tee Hee takes initiative after his eerie solo with a mighty Discharge, which, for some reason, feels more like a Normal-Type attack than an Electric one. All parties (barring the animated doll itself, of course) are greatly hurt by the attack - it surely was a doozy! Valentine tries to replicate it, but he can't even move... looks like the paralysis is taking its toll on everyone today. Isis is quick to capitalize, launching another ThunderShock at Tee Hee in vain. Valentine, though mildly wounded by the attack, is almost overflowing with electric power - next round certainly won't be good for zarator. Anhur closes the round with a mildly effectual blast to Tee Hee, though this referee can't discern its type signature to save his life.
