We both sank hours in to that game, and we had loads to talk about with it.
We had some similar magic for Gold and Silver, where we both got one each, and played together, and that was almost as magical as the first time, but only because I got to share it. My brothers older than me, and I don't see him often, being a half brother, so those two games meant quite a lot, in bringing us together over something. I don't usually get at all emotional about shit like that, but meh.
The only game that's come close to such a thrill, was HG, as I had all the happy childhood memories, in a format that really appealed to my older self. Still not quite the same, as my brother wasn't playing it with me, bad times.

Haha man, I know how you mean.
Me and 2 really close friends used to play a game called fantasy star online for the gamecube LOADS. We didn't even have online mode, but just offline pulling all nighters and the only worry in the world being what sword you have.
I can honestly say those where some of the best times I've ever had... sounds sad because It was in my room in the dark with 2 friends, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
It's exactly like that pics says, the first time playing legend of zelda as a kid, pokemon, all that stuff... those moments had a certain intensity I feel like I'll never have again.
