Preferred Tier: I'm willing to learn any, but I think I'd like to start somewhere in the lower tiers (UU RU or NU), since there's less in them, and I m still pretty new when it comes to competitive Pokemon. I'm also partial to Monotype, but that's less a tier and more a tournament style.

The James Bell Story: Looking at the other posts in this thread, I'm apparently an old man compared to all the kids that post on here, but I guess I'm okay with that. I've been playing since i was in elementary school, in the good old days of Red and Blue versions, with my Blastoise that packed Water Gun, BubbleBeam, Surf, and Hydro Pump. I've come a long way since those days, but I can't seem break above a 50/50 win/loss record on PO. I prefer building teams around themes and around specific Pokemon, but the lack of practical competitive knowledge keeps me from being able to do very well with them. The other reason I'd like some tutoring is so I would have something useful to contribute the next time a CAP project starts up. My favorite things to do in-game are breed pokemon and hatch eggs. I also like themed runs of the games. (Nuzlocke, Monotype, solo, etc.)

When it comes to non-Pokemon life, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati 6 months ago, (I saw that Louisville guy up there, GO BEARCATS) and I'm starting a new job soon.

I'd love to get picked for tutoring, so hopefully someone finds me to their liking.
