BEGIN ROUND TWO

Same as always, attacks go flinging about. The main highlight this round is Kethzyal's Mega Ice Beam, which deals absolutely massive damage to Merrin! Unfortunately, the Core saps just enough energy so that Merrin hangs on by a thread, but it's an outstanding attack nevertheless. Fatal poison as well as residual sandstorm damage is starting to take its toll on all the combatants bar Merrin; Zelda especially doesn't like all this status, as she even gets fully paralyzed once.

Just when things begin to calm down, the Energy Core begins to churn again! After a few brief seconds, it unleashes a ring of brilliant white energy that pulses outwards from the center and into every nook and cranny of the room, deliberately damaging everything, but not quite destroying. Zephyr and Zelda, originally quite healthy, are smashed the strongest by the pulse, while Merrin takes almost nothing from it—there's nothing to be taken there. The Core's energy seems to have been massively depleted, though, so hopefully we won't be seeing a repeat of this.
