I think a combination of Sableye as you said and Virizion can help take down Ferrothorn in rain, where a strong fighting attack would be more effective than an HP fire anyways. If it's really a huge problem, you can always change one of your Pokemon for a Guts abuser and strong fighting type like Conkeldurr, so if he paralyzes you, that's even better, but I personally like Virizion. I think basically Ferrothorn in rain is a dick and there isn't much you can do about it, or many of us can do about it. :/
