With Maxim sending out his new mons, we see they have a distinct advantage right from the start! With both of TRG's mons cooling down (nice try with the morning sun though). Ralts takes the opportunity to set up clones while she can, while Nidoran drops a thunderbolt onto the Ponyta!
Now that its cooldown time is over, Ponyta conjures up a ball of fire and decides which Ralts to throw it at. The flame flies straight towards one of the Ralts' hitting it critically! But was it the right one? It was it turns out as the clones start to disappear and the real Ralts is recovering from the pain. Shinx decides not to give him a chance to though, by biting down on the little ballerina thing. While all this is going on Nidoran decides to use a Venoshock on a Ponyta that isn't even poisoned! But it still does decent damage. Both trainers now sit anxiously to see what Ralts does! But nothing happens as it seems to still be flinching from the bite wound it recieved earlier!
This last action starts by Nidoran cheering for Ralts encouraging him to do better, but will it help? Ponyta sends another layer of flames at Ralts, while Shinx sets up a protective barrier of sorts, to soften any incoming blow. With the encouragement from Nidoran, Ralts now sends a wave of energy, that materializes into little particles. The particles then slam into Ponyta knocking it out!
With that lucky hit on A2 The Royal Guard seems to be strengthening his lead, but can he keep it up?
Can Maxim gain some ground despite attacking first next round?
Will Ralts stop getting haxed?
