@ SilentRevolver: For a Pokemon to be able to truly counter something, it has to be able to switch directly into the opposing Pokemon and not fear being 2HKOed by any move. So, your Lanturn is 2HKOed should the Moltres user predict its switch-in with HP Grass. The reason I said that no single Pokemon can counter a Moltres+Kabutops core is because the only true counter to Moltres (Specially Defensive Lanturn) is unable to counter (or directly switch into) Kabutops. The OP doesn't specify which one of the two Pokemon we have to switch into, so we should assume we need to switch into either one and no single Pokemon can do that safely.
