Aerodactyl looks very sweet on paper in RBY, outspeeding everything but Mewtwo, Jolteon and Electrode, and packing a quite respectable Attack. Given how critical hits work in RBY, it could have been a rather potent sweeper. The problem lies in its relatively poor defensive typing and stats, its somewhat limited movepool and its high susceptibility to paralysis.
I know nothing about GSC, RSE or DPP, so I won't even pretend to.
