And time for my pick. Just so you all know, there were some stories out there that were absolutely hilarious. I laughed at multiple of your stories and I really appreciated the humor that went into many of them. Most of those stories were my favorites, haha. However, I decided to choose a more sentimental story as my honorable mention because I relate to it so closely. It was by new user Thor; check it out:

I know the feeling of thinking you aren't going to get something. Although my story was much less emotional then yours, I still remember my absolute surprise at receiving my own Gameboy and Pokemon Blue from my parents for my birthday, after they had strictly told me I'd never own a video game. I love that Pokemon is something that brought you closer to your family. Thanks for sharing =)
