I have slightly mixed opinions on this one. Here it is with the original scan background on.

ium- I love it. I agree that the water looks raised, but I think it's just the darker shading you have. Some sort of rim around it- whether ice or a rocky surrounding- or removing the shading and trying shading elsewhere (in the middle of it maybe?), would probably work. I think. It's such a cute picture though and certainly fits the article. Nice job! :3

My critiques on your art will be honest! I'm not mean about it- or at least I don't think I am- but I won't lie to you. As a result, I'll always hide-tag my critiques (don't be nervous because it's hidden!). My praise, however, is also honest, and I'll never give one without the other.
