They're called "the legendary dogs". Like how Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza are the weather trio. Hey, wait a second! Bulbapedia thinks they're called the legendary beasts! But I know that the term "legendary dogs" were used at least twice in Colosseum, pretty much a game modeled around them. Translation error into Colosseum?
