Get rich quick

Pay Day against underleveled trainers is a win. You can also clone some Pokemon holding Nuggets in Emerald and then Pal Park six over them per day for 30k at once.

Apparently completing the Stark Mountain task is the trigger for VS Seeker trainers' pokemon to reach their final levels.

It comes from actually reading threads in this forum.
Well, despite your attempt to just dismiss me, I ran multiple searches in this forum and read through the Training with the Vs. Seeker thread (http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13724&highlight=seeker), which is where this mystery was explored a lot before.

But no thread like you described turned up. Sure, I may simply be missing it in my searches, but before I start going around repeating something someone just said, I'd like to know the source. Pokemon urban legends are notoriously bad, in my experience...

Yeah, Dan Dan is correct.

I did the Stark Mountain quest all the way up to making Puck return the rock-thing, but I did not finish the quest for a couple months. It wasn't until I finally captured Heatran that the VS Seeker trainers went up another level tier.

Ironically, it's in that thread where the answer lies...

I fought the gentleman and the socialite a lot today, and then it says "The trainers here do not appear to be ready for battle. Let's try later."
Can I only fight them a certain number of times per day?

No, just try again.

Sometimes the Vs Seeker just yields no result. It'll probably work the next time you try.

I usually never run out of money cause i buy most of my vitamins in battle tower.. Trust me winning three times straight may take a while but you'll end up with 23 bps to get 23 vitamins :O
Elite 4 is a good source of getting cash and leveling up but its still not enough for vitamins as they cost alot. The rest obviously elite 4 is pefect.

The sad part of all this is that even with that super bonus that guarantees 15 coins every turn in the casino... battling for money is still more efficient than the casino. :-/

If you want a chance at some nifty items (plus, it's less boring), turnback cave's an option - just sell all the rare bones you get. If you get 3 pillars in 3 rooms while you're doing that, you'll also get a pleasant surprise -I have a large collection of reaper clothes I got this way.
EDIT: Very, very slow though, but you'll always reap a profit.
