Other then getting up sun I haven't found Ninetales useful. I never used Ninetales myself but every Sun Team I've gone up against their Ninetales never KO'd or even threaten my teammates. Usually it just sets sun and dies. Politoed and Tyranitar on the other hand can hold their own and threaten several Pokemon on a team. Other then permasun Ninetales is just deadweight to a OU team.
