Well I guess it's time for me to put in my five cents about all this.

There's a reason for the crazy jump and that is partially my RMT featuring it, and I have seen it a lot on the ladder. The fact that Poppy's well recognized RMT also had this poke in it explains the usage (even though Poppy's team came closer to the end of the month). I think it's marvelous that you actually can promote underrated Pokémon and see clear results. I am very pleased (time to start using Arceus-Dragon).

It is actually the 4th most used Arceus forme this month, amazing! Now, there are obviously a lot more of cool statistics to be extracted from these stats, thanks to the new system (which btw just owns). I have found myself studying the average weight of Pokémon, and I have found some really interesting facts.

This just shows a lot more than usage. Arceus-Ghost is generally used by players with a higher rank than pokes like Giratina, Lugia, Dialga, Darkrai and Rayquaza. However, the interesting question is: Is this number really saying anything about how good the Pokémon in question really is?
An interesting point could be made about Omastar, since it has an average weight of .88. Of course, we know that it's Sweep who is thrashing the ladder and taking a lot of high spots there, so does that make Omastar a high tier Pokémon? Well, since Sweep acheived high ladder scores with it, it's surely a fact that it works. But then again, ladder rating is never a good estimation of a player's skill unless it's really high (>2000). The point being made, and the question I would like to raise is weather or not the ladder's presumable low skill (I have heard a lot of talk about that) can simply make any viable Pokémon's average weight a lot higher than it should have been if used by the average ladderer. I have a lot of other thoughts on the usage stats as well, but I wanna raise some discussion about the average weight system and what information you can extract from it first!
