Because it was his last Poke and would have have been flamethrowering a Heatran had it used it on Bronzong, so it had to pick an attack that didn't have an immunity to it.

Didn't really like the battle either. Your opponent was a poor player, laying down a 2nd layer of spikes after the Hippo has been poisoned, and after learning the rest of your team is practically immune. Froslass didn't Blizzard Cradily which would have easily 2-hited your Cradily, and instead opted for hidden power, which was literally less than half as powerful as blizzard.

Probably because it was Scarf'd? And it was first out against a Magnezone ?

Abomasnow was clearly faster than Hippo at the lead and yet didn't use Blizzard. (Sandstorm started after the hail. This guarentees that the Hippo was slower). Mamoswine could have pwned the hippo with Avalanche, Ice Shard, a more powerful Earthquake of its own or even Blizzard... but instead roared.

You also made a few questionable moves. You kept the Hippo in on a pokemon that easily would have OHKOed your hippo with Blizzard, Specs Ice Beam, CB Wood Hammer and more, after learning that the Hippo was slower. Further, you open with Earthquake which is resisted by Abomasnow, instead of going for the kill with say... early stealth rocks or Stone Edge.

Yeah, instead let's use Stealth Rock while it'll just Sub and rape the whole team with Focus Punch/Leech Seed instead. Also if you notice, Bronzong used Stealth Rock, which probably meant that Hippowdon doesn't.

You didn't want Magnezone to "die" so you send out a pokemon weak to Blizzard (Cradily) to a Froslass on a Hail team, even though it would have been clearly to your advantage to revenge switch-in.

Warstories are great when both players play at a near perfect level, requiring prediction and so forth. But there are mistakes littered all across this warstory.
