[WARSTORY] The Gimmick Clash - Ahren VS Baris

My fourth warstory! This was a battle against Baris, and both of us were using gimmick teams. It's probably one of the funniest battles I've ever fought, and when on Shoddy's main chat appeared: "Baris: ahren warstory"
I decided to write this. Without further intro words, here is the battle!

Ahren's moves will look like this.

Rules: Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause
AhrenElessedil sent out Smeargle (lvl 100 Smeargle ?).
Baris sent out Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
AhrenElessedil: gl

Here I thought: "What? Blissey lead?" I had already seen other Baris' battles but not from the beginning, and I didn't know his blissey moveset. Well, I decided to Spore him without dangers for Smeargle since I'm scarfed.

Baris switched in Charizard (lvl 100 Charizard ?).
Smeargle used Spore.
Charizard fell asleep!

Ahren: Smeargle 100%, locked in Spore.
Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100%, sleeping.

Strange move - I don't know why he "sacrified" Zard, but it's good for me, one less poke to care about. Now that I've spored him I must change and I know that Baris will switch too. I decided to bring Empoleon in, because the Penguin's great resistences could help me...

Baris switched in Rotom-w (lvl 100 Rotom-w).

Ok I made the worst choice. Since he was probably Thunderbolting I thought to send in Flygon to eat the hit.

Rotom-w used Trick.
Rotom-w obtained Choice Band!
Flygon obtained Choice Scarf!

Ahren: Smeargle 100%, Empoleon 100%, Flygon 100% + Scarf.
Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100%, sleeping, Rotom 100% + Band.

No thunderbolt, but the trick was better for me than for him. Time to scout with U-Turn.

NS Absol X has entered the room.
Flygon used U-turn.
It's not very effective...
Rotom-w lost 13% of its health.
AhrenElessedil switched in Empoleon (lvl 100 Empoleon ?).
Rotom-w used Trick.
Rotom-w obtained Leftovers!
Empoleon obtained Choice Band!

Tricky match! My SDPenguin was Banded... that was annoying, but not really hurtful. Now that he had the Lefties he was looking for he was surely Thunderbolting... I'd try to catch a boost.

AhrenElessedil switched in Electivire (lvl 100 Electivire ?).
Rotom-w used Thunderbolt.
Electivire's Motor Drive increased its speed!

Ahren: Smeargle 100%, Empoleon 100% + Band, Flygon 100% + Scarf, Electivire 100% + Drive.
Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100% + sleep, Rotom 100% + Lefties.

I hoped Flamethrower was a 3HKO, since he couldn't 2HKO me with Shadow Ball...

Electivire used Flamethrower.
Rotom-w lost 37% of its health.

Hmm, not what I was hoping for.

Rotom-w used Shadow Ball.
Electivire lost 51% of its health.

Ouch. 2HKO. I cannot stay in...

AhrenElessedil switched in Smeargle (lvl 100 Smeargle ?).
Rotom-w used Shadow Ball.
It doesn't affect Smeargle...

Ahren: Smeargle 100%, Empoleon 100% + Band, Flygon 100% + Scarf, Electivire 49%.
Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100% + sleep, Rotom 73% + Lefties.

Things got trickier... Trick him, Smeargle!

NS Absol X: vire fails

Smeargle used Trick.
Smeargle obtained Leftovers!
Rotom-w obtained Choice Scarf!
Rotom-w used Thunderbolt.
Smeargle lost 82% of its health.

...and I trick succesfully and survived! Yeah! He was locked in TB now, so I could switch in Flygon.

He couldn't stay in and his team is weak to EQ, his EQ immunity is sleeping and so...

At least he was suffering. I thought I could switch in Empoleon here, to kill him, but Baris predicted me:

It should be simple to kill his Snorlax with my flygon, but I decided not to EQ him away to use Dragon Claw, the safest choice in case of switches.

Flygon used Dragon Claw.
Snorlax lost 40% of its health.
Snorlax used Body Slam.
Flygon lost 82% of its health.
Snorlax lost 2% of its health.
Baris's Snorlax fainted.
Baris switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).

Ahren: Smeargle 100%, Flygon 18% + Scarf, Electivire 49%.
Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100% + sleep, Metagross 100%.

He managed to survive! Ouch! Now I must switch, and I think Machamp is the safest choice...

Smeargle will be martyr for his team, since he can do another good action before dying...

Heatran is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Heatran used Fire Fang.

3 - 3. And wow, physicalTran!

Heatran lost 10% of its health.

Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100% + sleep, Metagross 100%.

Flygon used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Charizard...

Ok, I could win that match. It was Arca, Flygon and Electivire against Bliss, Heatran and a sleeping BellyZard. But I feared his Bliss and his unknown moves and so I decided to switch Arca in to scout...

Yeah, I just realised I had won. I could kill Zard and bliss with TB and Heatran with Cross Chop!

That was really nice! It just goes to show that recharge moves can really help if you need some quick damage real fast and weaker moves just won't do the job.
Only thing I have against this is that I think it would be better aligned left rather than center, since there's so much going on:

Baris: Blissey 100%; Charizard 100% + sleep, Rotom 26% + Scarf."

That's just me. Change or not, however you like.

A very nice battle and warstory. Lining up all status effects and other changes every once in a while was a really good idea actually. ^^

Also, I lolled when Blissey used Hyper Beam. =P

Ahhahahahahaha, hyper beam bliss. genius. I really loved the cutting of turns in half so you could build suspense, twas nice. Excellent read.

Thanks, I changed the C in S. And yes, I think aligned on the left looks better. I centered all only for the sprites, and then I decided to center only the sprites after your suggestion.

Reminds me of when I had a gimmick match - my unevolved team versus a team of UU physical sweepers. Blaze Kick Riolu FTW!

Anyway, back on topic, Hyper Beam was awesome. I'd never have seen that coming :\ Personally, I'd love to have a match like this, but I never play Shoddy any more...
