It might just be me, but Espeon's ears look a bit too straight. The outlining and shading of the whiskers looks off, too.

EDIT: Also, Lombre needs some black outlines (and darker outlining in general).

The lombre looks good now.


I think the Elekid's ears should be straight according to head position.


The Espeon's outlining still needs work, it's noticeably edgy at spots.


As for Electabuzz, just add a shadow under his head. I don't know if that's the blackest shade of black, but...y'now...if it isn't......put it under.

New here. I like sprites.

It's really interesting what you guys are doing, I like how they are more complicated as they are bigger, but still have the crude look of pokemon. What program should i use to make these, I have gimp, but I don't know if that would work well.

anyway, Persian.

Are you experienced with GIMP? GIMP and Photoshop are great for spriting.

You can use paint if you want, but layers help alot.

Uhhhhh do you come from a certain GFX site?

Spriting should be generally easy for you if you have some experience in digital art.

The lighting on the bill is weird as just one line. Looks like a mistake.

The Lotad shouldn't be staring straight at the camera. It should be looking towards where the other pokemon will be, down and to our left. Same for the Espeon.

Espeon = bad pose
Lotad = should be looking to the left, also the blue part of it looks flattened
Tyranitar = weird tail, maybe too long? but awesome

Luxray sketch = Sweetness, maybe make its right ear round and not sharp? But I love it, please clear it up.

Luxio will be fixed when I am able to.

Here's some things I see:
  • The point where the tail connects to the body looks too awkward because there is too abrupt of a curve. And yeah, shorten its tail; its length is supposed to be about half Tyranitar's height.
  • Perhaps you can add a bit more depth on the plates where the black diamond holes are to make it more 3D-ish (see Tyranitar's existing back sprites to see what I mean).
EDIT: Registeel in progress, and the first sprite I've posted in ages. Comments? My skills have grown rusty and thus I wasn't sure how to approach some shading issues (i.e. on its legs).

The tail is too long.
Add more of the lightest shade, it's looking flat.

i really didn't think lotad was too squashed (he is pretty flat after all) but i made him a pixel fatter anyway. and now he's looking at the bottom left...



but i still think lotad looks more like lotad when he looks like he's smoking something. anyway since there's already a lotad somewhere i won't be bothering with it anymore.
