Anyways, decent first start. It would be super cool though if somehow you guys can have a webcam cast just so we can tell who is who because I had no idea Loki was in it b4 someone told me. Also its sexy cool to see hot faces

I pronounce it Lat-ee-iss see-zor caught me off guard too. Anyway, pronunciations aside, this was really cool. It felt like a condensed version of #stark when there are serious pokemon chats going on. Can't wait for the next one. Yeah, pronunciations kinda threw me off. I always thought they were SIH-zoor and ROW-tom.
I too thought it was great.

i would honestly rather listen to this than a chemistry lecture, which i reallllly should be paying attention to. thank you so much for making this. i have a question tho... i use a CB scizor, and im getting alotta crap for it. is there anything that carries pursuit and a wicked hard priority move i can use as a replacement? thanks!

The issue of "Doing them more frequently" is mainly an issue of getting all our panelists together at the same time. We're shooting for once every 2 weeks, with writing and production week kinda swapping places, but again, no hard promises.

I'm listening to it now. I must say I really like it, and I'm in almost total agreement with it so far.
Still can't get over the accents though - in my head you all speak the Queen's English! It's very amusing listening to people saying OHKO. Somtimes One-hit-kay-oh, sometimes Oh-koh.

Just when I was wondering why Smogon didn't have a podcast, this comes along :)
I think that 90 minutes is just a shade too long in one sitting. Perhaps it'd benefit from being split into 30 minute segments, even if it's recorded all at once. But generally I thought it was really excellent, especially as a first podcast. Recording every two weeks is better than I would have hoped for, so if you can meet that schedule then this is be a pretty exciting development! Oh, and all your pronunciations were spot on with what I was expecting (although I was thrown by "oh-koh" to start with lol) |

Downloading it at the moment, but since we're on the topic of pronunciation, I've always said sy-za for Scizor (Australian accent :P), lay-tee-as for Latias and row-tum for Rotom. I'll edit this post with my thoughts on the actual podcast tomorrow.
EDIT: Listened to it last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so that I listened to it till midnight! It was an interesting insight into the metagame.

Yeah yeah, above all else we've gotten the most comments regarding "how we pronounce stuff". Really, it's just a "personal preference" kind of thing, since there's no standardized pronunciation guide outside of maybe being a diligent follower of the anime. Sorry to anyone that we may have irked, but at the same time, expect more of it in the future.
That said, we really appreciate all your comments! Glad to hear that the community is reacting so positively to this project!
