are glitched. Worse than we thought.
From Kamex's RBY stuff guide: Quote:
IE they do on average 16.67% more damage per usage than they ought to. It's a pretty serious glitch. Have a nice day. Last edited by Hipmonlee; May 27th, 2011 at 8:09:22 PM. |

Last night when I battled EW with a team full of onixes against a team full of onixes.
We used Bind 316 times, it hit 236 times, and the moves continued 586 times. Which is roughly 2.5 continues per hit -exactly what you would expect if it was continuing each amount of times with equal probability (bear in mind that there were some continues cut off due to KOs, though a very small number). Have a nice day. |

Pardon me asking, but... why exactly were you having a battle with twelve Onix?

To test whether partial trapping moves were glitched or not.
My maths was off, they do 16.67% more than they ought to per hit. Still pretty significant. Have a nice day. |

1 3/8 = 3/8
2 3/8 = 6/8 3 1/8 = 3/8 4 1/8 = 4/8 =16/8 = 2 continues per use on average. 1 1/4 = 1/4 2 1/4 = 2/4 3 1/4 = 3/4 4 1/4 = 4/4 =10/4 = 2.5 continues per use on average 586 continues over 236 hits is 2.483.... So it looks like Netbattle is bugged. |

Good find! Even so, it reminds me of that section from the premier issue of The Smog:

I think people should stop criticizing this kind of bug testing. They've obviously taken effort to do this.

To whom could we report this bug? It would be nice to adhere loyally to the actual mechanics. It can make quite a difference.
If not NBS, we should notify PO about this, so that Wrap would be implemented correctly. |
