The I Really Need to Get a Hobby Challenge!
Thanks to Mr_br_kill to the idea!
Most of you probably have heard of the Nuzlocke and Scramble Challenges, but I'm about to introduce a completely new one. A challenge where False Swipe is useful and where every Pokemon has a purpose. What is it? It's The I Really Need a Hobby Challenge( or IRNAHC, for short). In this challenge, I will attempt to get a KO using every fully evolved Pokemon competitively on the Smogon server, and win the battle, as well. From Excadrill to Delibird, every Pokemon will get a chance to shine, and you can keep track of my progress on this thread! So, here's a list to keep track of all of the fully evolved Pokemon! Legend: Green=Ubers Red=OU Blue=UU Purple=RU Pink=DW And this isn't just for me. As a community, we will find a way to get a KO with every fully evolved Pokemon! So you can post logs, strategies, movesets or just let us know if you've got a KO with a Pokemon! I'll update this post whenever I or someone else gets a KO with a Pokemon. Just remember, that this is for competitive play, and it doesn't matter what tier you do this in. If you want to try your Spinda in Ubers, go ahead, but you'll probably want to stay in RU. Anyways, get out there so that we can show the world that any Pokemon can be a force to reckon with, through love and teamwork! Or hax. Lots and lots of hax. Edit:Daenym has also suggested some more ideas: races and marathons. and Mr_br_kill suggested another idea; triathlons. Race: 2 or more poeple agree on 5 or more pokemon and they race to get the kills with them Marathon: 2 or more poeple have a set time period to get as many kills with different pokemon as possible Triathlon: 2 or more poeple have race where the winner is the one who gets a kill with all the pokemon first All standard rules apply and please post here if your going to have a race, marathon or triathlons with someone.

I know using Delcatty may seem like an absurdity to someone who stays in OU, but plenty of people have already been playing with every fully evolved Pokemon for a very long time.

Well, I'll start this off with some KOs that I got in Ubers. I got one with Kyogre, Rayquaza, Tyraintar and Mewtwo, which isn't really that spectacular, but I did get a KO in Ubers with an Abomasnow. Using Sub/Protect/unbelievable luck, it defeated a Reshiram! Think I'm lying? Here's a log from the battle:

Try going with Hidden Power/Natural Gift Fire/Ice/Ground/Fighting to surprise KO Ferrothorn, Gliscor, Heatran, T-tar, and other 4x weak top usage pokemon.

Just saying, its not a fun challenge without people watching unless you post how you get the kills with the useless pokes, and even then its not that fun of a challenge, as it is not hard to forge a battle log.

It's no different that just faking a Nuzlocke or cheating in Scramble. The challenge is as fun as you make it. If you're going to cheat then you might as well not do it in the first place.
And it's not that hard to save a log and spoiler it here if it's a particularly hilarious/impressive KO (like lawlhax Abomasnow above) Anyway, this isn't something I'd do myself (I get bored playing on the simulator already, and this just sounds like it'd drive me nuts) but I can definitely see people having fun with it. To "focus" it a bit more, people can agree on a set group of Pokemon and then "race" to see who can earn the KOs faster? Like maybe 5 or so of the Pokemon from the list. And obviously there's marathon mode where you get KOs for every one. |

Bonus points if you can complete this without resorting to baton pass teams.
I'm really intrigued as to your methodology on getting kills with say noctowl, ledian, or luvdisc. Hats off to you if you can complete this. |

Quick update, I KOed a Gliscor with a Hidden Power Ice in Ubers. From a Sunflora.
Galvantula also 2HKOed a Deoxys-A(would've 1HKOed, but had a Focus Sash) and 1HKOed a Mewtwo who decided to use Aura Sphere it for some reason.

The real question, I guess, is if you have to:
- WIN the match - Score the KO on a fully healthy Pokemon or just deal the finishing blow Winning obviously isn't too much to ask, since you can build a team of 5 badasses and then tuck in whatever you're working with. Then it's just a matter of time before you find a weaker team. The full healthy Pokemon thing is a much harder task, imo. Otherwise, you just get a Toxic/Memento Whimsicott or something and slap a Choice item on your target killer. And for those shitting on Luvdisc, am I the only one who remembers the warstory that used NFE/NU Pokemon and won? Luvdisc got a KO or two in there. :D |

Just scoring a KO with any Fully Evolved Pokemon is easy enough. I think if you want this challenge to mean something, you have to actually win the battle in order to count those KOs. Just throwing a Sunflora in your team can get a KO without much trouble, but the actually challenge will be to win the game with a Sunflora on your team.
This way, you actually have a challenge and not just some tedious errand.

Okay, the rules are going to change bit so that it's more of a challenge. Now, I'll have to get a KO with the Pokemon and win the battle. The OP will be changed ASAP to include this and take out Sunflora and Galvantula. In the first battle I did win, so Abomasnow, Mewtwo and the others mentioned there still count.

Luvdisc's only hope is sweet kiss/attract/scald/substitute. If you get in on a male pokemon and are lucky, you can win.

Update: Wobbuffet got a KO by countering a +2 Blaziken Hi Jump Kick. Shiftry 2HKOed a Clefable, KOed a Starmie, 4HKOed a Draco Meteor Jirachi and 1HKOed a Hitmonlee, all with aChoice Banded Seed Bombs. Magmortar 1HKOed a Forretress with a Flamethrower.
If anyone thinks that this or any other battle shouldn't count, just let me know. In this one, my opponent does use a Hitmonlee and a Clefable in Ubers, so it might not exactly count. As of now it does, but if you don't think that it should, just let me know.

Okay, I'll bite. I'll try this with every Pokemon there is, with one rule/exception: I won't do it with a Pokemon that can't get TMs AND is NFE.
So the missing ones are Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Magikarp, Wurmple, Silcoon, Cascoon, Wynaut, Beldum, Kricketot, Burmy, Combee and Tynamo. I'll make a note of what tier they got the KO(s) in as well. (If nothing's mentioned, it means OU.)

Also, before I forget, the original list is missing Flygon & Skuntank. Edit: Also, forgot to note what rules I'm going by. - The Pokemon must be the last of my Pokemon to take an offensive action. (So, for example, spamming Protect/Sub while it dies from another Poke's Toxic/Leech doesn't count) - Them killing themselves doesn't count as a KO for me. (So no Explosion/Memento "KOs".) - I'll use them in whatever tier, but I might go for a few different tiers on the same Pokemon if I get the time. - I'm NOT using the "Must win the battle" rule. I'm also, however, not using False Swipe or Baton Pass.
