Smogcast 12: Black & White UU

That's right, now that we've got UU up and running, it's time for the newest iteration of the Smogcast to shed some light on this new metagame! Join hosts Seven Deadly Sins and JabbaTheGriffin, as well as our esteemed panelists LonelyNess and Snunch, as we take a good hard look at every facet of this new UU metagame. In this monster 96-minute cast, you'll hear coverage of:

- All the suspects, including Mew, Victini, Staraptor, and more!
- New stars on the rise, such as Espeon and Wobbuffet!
- Our panelists' favorite rogue metagame threats!

You can listen to The Smogcast in segments on Youtube, and it is also available as an MP3 for all you fans who want to listen to the Smogcast on the go!

Also, huge huge gigantic props to TelamonianAjax, who hooked us up with a sexy new intro for the Smogcast! This dude worked hard to bring us some snazzy intro music, and damn did he deliver.

I already talked about this on irc, but didn't get an exact answer. Is there a reason that, when listening through headphones, there's like a random echo effect on everyone?

Can anyone explain exactly why it's so hard to get the download up the same time as the Youtube videos? I'm assuming it's because Chris nor SDS has access to the site's Media, but I'd love to see a little coordination from them and whoever controls the media files of Smogon if that's the case. :/

I had FTP access to media, but it got nuked in the site downtime since the server basically had to be rebuilt from scratch. Trust me, this isn't really an issue of anyone being incompetent. That, and Symphonyx64 is ridiculously fast, which is awesome.

Yeah, it's not like a single repeat you'd get from one persons mic, but a slight echo/reverb effect placed on everyone. Is this the case?

Anyway, I'm loving it so far, intro was fantastic!

I'm too damn tired to write up a long post, but the usual "This Smogcast was awesome, funny and informative..." but its like 3 AM and i'm dead tired. Hands down my favorite Smogcast. I may be biased when it comes to UU but damn... so good.

Excellent job! This Smogcast is probably the best one yet. The intro kicks ass, setting up for a nice long informative yet engaging Smogcast. The panelists and content did not disappoint in the least bit. You guys seriously nailed it (except for the times when everyone tried to talk at once, but that should not be deliberately avoided).

No, it's not my music. I never claimed I wrote the music itself; if anyone is curious, it's "Disorganized Fun" by Ronald Jenkees (the YouTube pianist who wrote the music for Bill Simmons's podcast intro). I did come up with it, though, and put it together.
