Wether your using pokemon for game play or for competitive reasons, egg moves can give some of the most overused and common pokemon excellent new strategies. The most interesting of all egg moves are those that can widen a pokemon's type triumphing capabilities.
To breed a pokemon with the desired egg move place a female of the species that you want to have the egg move and a male from the list of compatible pokemon that can naturally learn the move. Example- Salamance (female) + Gyarados (Male) with hydro pump = bagon with hydro pump Pokemon Species in Italics Pokemon Egg Move Unique Typing in Bold Male Pokemon Needed to Breed With, After Listed Move The List IS IN Pokedex Order If any information is incorrect please post the changes as I did this mostly off of memory and what I have written down. Where are you getting your information from? Crobat does not get Hypnosis, Rapidash does not get Horn Drill and Ninetales certainly doesn't breed with Grumpig to get Hypnosis (who doesn't get the move at all). That's just to name a few things out of what I'm sure are many flaws in this post.
After that, I don't see how something like Skull Bash Venusaur would be considered "notable." Edit: I'm trying to check Psypokes for confirmation, but the site is moving slow. I'm more than positive that those moves are wrong, though. Edit 2: I see where you went wrong. Your breeding information is coming from 4th gen (and maybe 5th Gen?) where Crobat gets Hypnosis and Rapidash gets Horn Drill. They, along with a lot of Pokemon in your list, either don't get those moves in the breeding pairings you've listed or they don't get the moves at all in 3rd Gen. Also, even if you try and separate things with bold and italics tags, the formatting for this list is pretty awful.

Thank you for the edits, and yes some of the moves listed on here are only compatible for Gen 4. I have already edited most of he problems but there are probably a few still in there. As for Skull Bash Venusaur this is the only egg move that he can learn that isn't completely generic to most grass types even though it is almost impossible to use in competitive play.
As for the format I am still working on it and hopefully I can have this 100% accurate in a couple days.

Nothing resists Dragon/Fire, I guess. It's the only decent reason to give leeway to the move. For the purpose of the thread, I wouldn't shut it down until its competitive viability comes into question.

Charizard has Dragon Claw, which has no drawbacks and only has 10 bp less

It'd only be mentionable for the fact that it's an egg move with at least some purpose (more than Skill Bash Venusaur and etc.). I'm not arguing that it's better than Dragon Claw (both are pretty bad options overall), but there are a lot of moves here we could throw out if we looked at the fact that they have better TM/Tutor counterparts. Just trying to keep an open mind here.
Tbh, It might just make more sense to just list all the egg moves and how to obtain them. As you can see from the previous few posts, what is "notable" might be a bit subjective. It'd make a good reference, and I know that some of the players in the 200 Tournament might appreciate a reference like that.

The bottom line is that there aren't that many usable egg moves in gen 3. This is the list of all the moves that could even be considered to be used. If anyone knows some better egg moves available in the 3rd gen please post them.

You don't need to breed Exploud with Grumpig for Extrasensory Whismur since Exploud is already compatible with Shiftry...

That's false. Hitmonchan are male only, meaning you can't breed with another specie to have egg moves. Hitmonchan CAN have Hi Jump Kick though, and you have to breed an Hitmonlee that knows it with a Ditto, so you'll have a Tyrogue with HJK. In a similar way, you can have an Hitmonlee with Mach Punch (Hitmonchan father) and an Hitmonchan with Rapid Spin (Hitmontop father)

Maybe someone that has more experience/knows more about the game/has more credibility should make such a guide. Your sources are off. Even then, is such a guide even necessary? GameFAQs has a guide that shows all of the egg moves for Pokemon that learn them.

Other websites don't have an entire list like this so you have to search egg moves specifically and then you have to use an egg group list to try to find what pokemon to breed with. Also most websites only carry that info on a 4th or 5th generation database.

The format should looks something like this (maybe modified a little). This list describes all of the possibilities for breeding charm onto a Bulbasaur.

Alright I just made yet another edit and now this information is about 95% correct. If you can spot anything that doesn't seem right please mention it.

As for DynamicPunch on Magmar, it can get it via Tutor in Emerald, so I would remove this from the list

Kabutops can't breed with Starmie, it's genderless. For Rapid Spin you need to breed it with Blastoise
Edit : same with Tentacruel Edit 2 : Here are some typos and false stuff you should change : Quote:

Also it's possible to breed a female Bagon with a Seadra for Hydro Pump.
