Except he has no way to get a Salamence, would have to go back to Altomare to get Latias, and Blissey don't fight in the anime.

I haven't watched the terrible anime since the few decent first-generation episodes, so I don't know the story to anything. All I'm saying is that I wish whoever's in charge of the anime would stop making the characters use horrible unviable Pokemon, even if it is just a kid's show (Is it really that bad to show a bit of "professional" competitive battles in the show?).

I'm still in favor of them completely restarting the anime (except its rated m, or whatever tv ratings are called). Pokemon, humor, strategy, and adult content all in one show, yes please.

Also, Ashes best team probably consists of,

Charizard
Pikachu
Sceptile
Infernape
(these are obious)

Bulbasaur
Squirtle
(These have a lot of experience and did beat Brandon)

EDIT: Also, anything he does with Latias is pokephillia.

Also, where did he get a Blissey?

He doesn't have a Salamence either.

If Ash has to capture a legendary Pokemon, then he should just capture Ho-Oh. Seriously. He's seen that thing on Episode 1, and has been seeing it ever since. Anime developers, just let Ash capture the Ho-Oh and move on in life.

Ash probably has a good shot at getting Mew, Mewtwo, Celebi (several), Suicune, Latias, Latios, or Darkrai, since he befriended them all in the past. Latias is the most likely (you all know why), but also he has saved the life of several Celebi (Celebi movie, random pokeranger episode in sinnoh, zoroark movie), so he could have a good chance of getting those to help him too.

Reminds me, I wish items played a bigger role in the Anime too, though in order to be used properly, they would probably have to actually battle properly too, and that's all just way too much to ask for.

To be fair, give him Gliscor or Torterra so his entire team isn't completely frail.

At least that's one improvement; he's evolving more of his Pokemon. Though why his Torterra hasn't won a single match since evolving is beyond me...

Well, as much as I support Altoshipping, the trouble is that Latias is in a movie. Never has anything from the movie being considered canon, although you can somewhat argue that Latias' movie is canon(because Ash apparently knows what is a Latios ._.)

Staraptor/swallow, heracross, snorlax or his possible emboar or serp

But How does glalie float? It can't be hot air because he will melt so what is it?
