I use Roost/Cotton Guard/Toxic/Flamethrower and it works pretty good. I guess Roar could be used over Flamethrower for phasing, but I don't know, I like the fact steel's get cocky on Altaria only to take fairly respectable damage considering no EV's in sp.atk. It at least makes Altaria not dead weight against them.

Sure, it's not the best Pokemon around, but anybody that's ever chained a shiny form in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum knows how adorable this thing is.

also. i find him a good sun counter/ special wall. opinions?

Altaria has a lot of potential, but IMO, having just 10 more base offenses would have been awesome. It's usable in UU, but the lack of firepower is disheartening. What could the new move be? Maybe a song-based attack? Then again, it already gets Sing, and not very many other sound moves makes sense on it.

Now that I think about it, Altaria could have checked Excadrill if it didn't need a scarf to outspeed it or actually had the offenses to kill it (I think Fire Blast might OHKO, but not sure).

i cant think of a single move that would fit altaria.

maybe quiver dance?

but again, knowing gamefreak, its probably something stupid like recover.

*sigh* Couldn't this have waited until the move was confirmed? Anyway, if it's something crappy, I may move this thread to an area in which Altaria is actually relevant. I'm going to bed.
