Did you have a battle that had an interesting turn of events? Did you eek out a win despite all odds? Or did you just have a battle that was very good but not exactly warstory worthy?
Use this thread to post your amazing battles, but be wary, make sure it is entertaining and not just a Kakuna sweep, otherwise your post will be deleted and possibly even infracted! Additionally don't just post logs! Use aesoft's Pokemon Online replay player!, these replays make battles much more fun than just reading lines of text. Let me start out with EeveeTrainer's battle versus a fellow named Ash Team. Click here to see it! While it starts to look grim for our hero EeveeTrainer, a sudden turn of events certainly makes this match-up very interesting! Now it is your turn! Post your replays, but remember to keep them noteworthy and keep the discussion on topic! ![]() Replay Library: X5 Dragon vs. Old Dogs AfroThunderRule vs. Forest of Moss TheFourthChaser vs. JoeyBoy LonelyNess vs. JoeyBoy Showsni vs. Hot As Ice alphatron Traitor vs. Krafty Team Amon Amarth vs. King of light Atoyont vs. Minato Arisato AndisAmberg vs. CC Tavogus NatGeo vs. Golden Sun MC Fatigue vs. This Machine Compiled by Shnen: Poppy (KG stall, long battle) ToF vs. bro fist Ginganinja vs. Frizy (DP OU) Golgen Sun vs. bowlii (DP OU) Pocket vs. taylor (close match!) I don't think my Pokemon have ever clutched so hard in the history of my battling career; once he froze me, my immediate reaction was "Well, lost yet another battle via hax ;(", I'm glad I stuck around and kept playing, it certainly paid off.

Maybe not the best battle ever, but certainly one of the most fun I've had. And kind of ridiculously awesome. This was an OU match back during the fourth generation. I've shared it before on one of my warstories of this team as a bonus read, but here it is in all its animated splendour!
http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Sho...--2010-10-07-1 (It's only 15 turns long, but what a great 15 turns they were.) (If you're curious, this is my Ash's Orange League team - the other members are Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Lapras and Tauros, just as Ash used to battle Drake.) |

Well, he couldn't do anything but Calm Mind - I'd locked him in with Encore, remember? Based on the first turn they were facing each other, Pikachu easily had Celebi beat, since it outsped and locked it into Encore, so when Encore ran out (in, what, ten turns or whatever it is) I could just Encore again. Then I realised they were actually speed tying, which did make things more risky, since I'd only have a 50% chance of being able to Encore lock him again, but luckily I got the crit before Encore ran out so it didn't come up.

Not the greatest battle but I definitely found it fun. Also shows that it helps to have insurance should anything unfortunate happen during the battle. Like what happened with politoed and volcorona.

Not warstory worthy, but I thought it was funny. I was trolling the leader board with an Arbok lead and came across a Mono-Steel team... He didn't even have a Skarmory xD |

I guess I need to describe the replay. Basically what I just did in this replay had less than half a percent chance of happening :o Involves the little hax machine called Jirachi |

He sure kept his cool. He needs to stop being a scrub and start wearing some Scarves. That sort of sweep is easily preventable (not factoring in the ridiculously low probability of that situation even happening). 252/252 Bold Reuniclus usually can win one-on-one with Jirachi thanks to Recover and Focus Blast, if it has a few CM's under its belt. Doesn't look like this one was very defensive though.
The fact that he even said "GG" is a testament to his patience. GG my ass. |

This was a CC match that had me laughing so hard by the end. Swagger plays a major part.

I'm really low on the ladder after creating this alt and failing, then not playing for a week. That probably explains how I walked all over this guy. I paralyzed half of his team and stalled with ParaShuffler Dragonite without entry hazards, with Scizor and Rotom-W taking care of everything else. I was pretty lucky getting past his Breloom as I wouldn't have been able to keep up the momentum that I did without Scizor. If you ever wanted to see a murderous CB Struggle, this is the place to find it! |

Is inside an enemy AC130 above.

That was nice. Good use of motherfucking Parashuffle Dragonite. It's great how no one knows how to properly counter it (still), which is fine by me, haha. It's almost too easy creating openings for sweeps or ways to fuck with your opponent.

So, seeing this thread, I thought I might as well post my Ubers match with Golden Sun for Team Trials. I swear, that was one of the best games I've ever had.

That was a good battle but it IRKED me that you had SO MANY opportunities to re-set up SR and just spammed burned, not very effective Power Whip.

This is a game I got with a team that was made not by me, but by a Random Pokemon Generator. Just 24 turns long, but it contains Masquerain ownage which makes it worth uploading.
http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-The...hine--2011--27 Before this match I took Ice Beam off my T-Tar to replace it with Fire Blast and what do you know...I'm playing against a Dragonite without any Ice moves... Great thread by the way, I'd give it an Alomomola if I could, you get a Luvdisc instead. |

a 4th gen game with me using kg stall, the last 50 turns are dealing with cursepert with gyarados switching, etc., but the first 50 turns are pretty good: showing what i think is the right way to play stall and not needing to predict so much as having a long term plan.

Good fight, Poppycock. Gyarados is boss.
Bowl Cut shouldn't have sacced Heatran like that :/ He had Celebi that he could've switched into. Don't know why some people literally play suicide with their leads, especially when the opponent leads off with a defensive mon. Would've been cool if Bowl Cut outpredicted you that one time and EQed your Blissey on the switch. That would have put you on the tight spot - well, not really, since you had a perfectly healthy Rotom-A and ScarfTar to revenge. GG, though - DPP stall can be REALLY tough to break |

thanks man, i think bowl cut stayed in because LO overheat has a chance to ohko physically defensive hippowdon, but it was a risk he took anyway.
i really like this topic: people should post more cool replays! i think even replays of matches between well known players that are not their own should be posted, in case people haven't seen them before. maybe even a compendium of good matches could be made? edit: http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-ToF...011-at-23h16-1 here is ToF vs bro fist for the dreamworld challenge i think; a good game, bro fist outplays ToF (and is very, very ballsy with his gliscor). apologies if i'm not meant to post this. edit edit: http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-gin...zy--2011-10-26 here is ginganinja vs Frizy in 4th gen OU. i thought it was an alright game until i got to the final few turns, then i thought it was a good game; i have never, ever seen a particular set showcased in this replay. http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Bow...011-at-09h41-3 here is bowlii vs golden sun, a 4th gen OU game. golden sun plays VERY well against the constant pressure that bowlii's more offensive team applies against him, scarftar manages to checkmate several pokemon and almost sealed the win for bowlii in conjunction with breloom. it could have gone either way but skarmory managed to wake up. http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Eev...on--2011-10-24 eeveetrainer fights gen. empoleon with the same team he uses in the OP

haha, nice replay dump, Poppycock :d
http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Sha...or--2011-10-28 Just fought Taylor today... he had a REALLY weird hyper offensive team (probably testing stuff, I dunno), which threw me off guard in the beginning. I got my Gyarados maimed in the process (I thought his Latios would Memento), which was not good. I still kept Gyarados around, which actually helped a lot. I'm posting this b/c it was a down-to-the-wire match. The crit from Lucario's ExtremeSpeed on my Heatran actually allowed Taylor to clutch the win in the end, which I did not notice until I looked it over. GG regardless. |

Will edit this post later with some exciting stuff including the one time I've beaten Limitless ^_^
http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-WAR...my--2011-05-19 - A battle between myself and Dummy007 in Round 1 of the Scramble Premier League 3, this was one of the closest battles I have ever had, with tons of mindgames going between us. A battle between my semi-stall team and Dummy's balenced (offensive?) team, this is a match i've considered making into a warstory many times. http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Lim...--2011-08-21-2 - A battle I had with Limitless while I was team testing with the pokemon I had received for the Scramble Premier League 4, this was another very close match, with solid plays and solid prediction from both sides http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Hel...il--2011-09-22 - An RU match, with the most successful 5th gen team I've ever created. This match showcased not only several of RU's top threats but also many of its underrated members, with both players utilising support options effectively in the effort to open the door for one of their sweepers. Unfortunately it is no longer valid in the current metagame due to the removal of Gastrodon and Golurk.
