Default Thunder Wave Berry Annoyance Team

I have been testing this team on Pokémon Online for a little while now.

Team at a glance:

Here's the team:

Thundurus @ Lum Berry 92 HP / 164 Def / 108 SDef
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- U-Turn
- Volt Switch
- Hammer Arm

This Thundurus is a bit unconventional which is what catches people off-guard. Thunder Wave is an obvious move to have. U-turn is used to switch on Ground types that come in or on Espeon after its attempt to bounce back Thunder Wave. Volt Switch is a stab switch that I can use on Xatu and Water or other Flying types. Hammer Arm OHKOs Tyranitar and does decent damage when it benefits me not to switch. Lum Berry is great at, like stated earlier, preventing the bounce back of Thunder Wave. It's also good to counter other teams with Thundurus since most use Life Orb instead.

Kyogre @ Wacan Berry
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 4 HP
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Thunder
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

When people see Kyogre, they usually think of two things: Choice Specs Water Spout or Calm Mind. This set is not used as often, so by the time they figure it out, they are already hit with a Thunder Wave. The other three moves are there for coverage. Wacan Berry is there so that it can survive two Thunders from opposing Kyogre so it can get a Thunder Wave on it. It also comes in handy on unsuspecting Electric type Pokémon.

Jirachi @ Occa Berry
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef / 4 HP
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Wish
- Protect

This set doesn't need much explanation. It's the standard Paraflinch set. I choose to give it more EVs in Atk instead of HP so that it won't take so long against Pokémon that resist Steel-type moves. Having Jirachi on a Thunder Wave team has been a great help and has caused a lot of rage quits from my opponent when I flinch/paralyze them 5+ times in a row only for them to FINALLY get off a Flamethrower/Fire Blast and have it be weakened by Occa Berry. Obviously, I don't keep in Jirachi when I sense a Ground type move coming unless I think it's faster and feel the need to pass a Wish to another Pokémon.

Groudon @ Rindo Berry
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 Atk / 136 Spd / 120 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

Groudon is a surprisingly useful Pokémon in the current metagame. After using Rock Polish, it reaches 500 speed, which has been helpful in countering Choice Scarf users. Dragon Tail is a must when I sense the opponent going for an "easy set-up" after they've switched in, and it works wonders on Dragon types trying to get a free Dragon Dance stats boost. Earthquake is obvious. Fire Punch is there to take care of Ferrothorn/Forretress, do damage to Skarmory, STAB, and just general coverage. I chose a Rindo Berry so that Groudon can survive a Grass type attack if need be.

Kyurem-B @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sleep Talk
- Fusion Bolt
- Outrage
- Rock Slide

Most people choose to use Kyurem-W for the better movepool, but I choose to use Kyurem-B for one move: Outrage. Kyurem-B has OHKO'D many Pokémon using this move. Whenever it ends, all I have to do is switch out Kyurem-B, let another Pokémon take the incoming attack, and go from there. Fusion Bolt is there because it's a power Electric type move which comes in handy a lot. Rock Slide is there to take care of Ho-oh. One of the benefits of a limited movepool is that I can use Sleep Talk in case I have to take care of a Spore/Hypnosis Pokémon in the late-game.

Kyurem-B @ Lum Berry
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 Atk / 182 Spd / 76 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Shadow Claw

Although incredibly generic, Extreme Killer Arceus still works wonders. After a Swords Dance, Arceus can 2KO the typical Kyogre-counter Ferrothorn with Earthquake. It also does wonders against other Steel types which are all over the Ubers metagame. ExtremeSpeed is there to do priority fast damage, and Shadow Claw is there to counter Ghost types. Lum Berry has saved me from Toxic and Will-O-Wisp SO many times. If Item Clause is in effect, I'll just take off Lum Berry from Thundurus and give him a Focus Sash.

So there you have it. The team isn't exactly original, but I do catch a lot of people off-guard with the berries and Thunder Wave everywhere, so it's done quite well.
