RMT: Super Typhoon

Here's my first team. New to competitive battling. So tips would be nice. Let me know what you think & how I can improve my team :)


1.) Politoad



Politoed @ Leftovers
Drizzle | Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 spA
- Scald - Protect
- Ice Beam - Toxic

2.) Tornadus



Tornadus @ Choice Specs
Prankster | Timid
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
- Hurricane - Hidden Power (Ice)
- U-turn - Rain Dance

3.) Volcarona @ Expert Belt



Flame Body | Timid
EVs: 4HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
- Quiver Dance - Bug Buzz
- Hurricane - Fiery Dance

4.) Scizor @ Choice Band



Technician | Adamant
EVs 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
-Bullet Punch -Pursuit
-U Turn -Roost

5.) Salamence @ Lum Berry or Focus Sash



Intimidate | Adamant
EVs 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
-Dragon Dance -Outrage
-Earthquake -Roost

6.) Latios



Levitate | Modest
Evs: 4SAtk / 252 HP / 252 Spd
-Draco Meteor -Thunder
-Surf -Recover

My First Suggestion is your Politoed.
As you are running a bulky set up I would lose your Protect and go for Perish Song. Protect will not help you as much as you would think and since your not Running Focus Blast A Ferrothorn would easily force you to switch out.

Volcorona? Even though they say to run it in the rain is good it is still bad. I would switch it out for something else.

Tornadus- I would go with a Tornadus-T instead Regenerator/Life Orb will help you destroy people with Hurricane and U-Turn out to gain health back and such.

Scizor should have Super Power over Roost? You are running Choice Band so roost is pointless.

Salamence looks good I would go Lum Berry for sure.

Your Latios Set Up is a bit weird? You are running 4 SAtk and 252 HP the speed is fine.
You should switch out for 252 Spc Attack over speed especially if your going Modest? Then Devote your other four to SpecD.

Psyshock.
This is a good set up because one you outspeed most dragons that are not scarfed. Choice Specs makes up for the Special attack of modest and you have dracometeor.
Trick lets you render walls useless such as Blissey Ferrothron Forretress. Exc
Thunder or Surf because both Powerful in rain and Psyshock for Special Walls such as Blissey.

3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.
